Homestuck: Dawn. Dave's match, or is she?

The Party

<time skip to friday before the party.>

"Hey Dave, I'm going to take a shower before the party!" I called out before stepping into the shower, he was drinking AJ and had already taken a shower. ***

I looked at myself in the mirror, i had to admit, it looked hot. I had on a dress that was strapless and of course, red. It had ruffles on the bottom half and a black belt in the middle. I had my shades on, and my hair in a braid, showing bits of red highlights i had. It stopped at me knee's, and i wore my red converse with it, it actually didn't look bad. I stepped out of the bathroom and grabbed my keys. Dave was already waiting in my car, we had agreed, no motercycle for the party.

"You look nice."

"Thanks, you know, you do to." I pushed my glasses up abit.

"Of course I do, I always do." He was right, even when he had terrible bed head, he looked nice. I shook the thought out of my mind, I'd known him what? a week, I really shouldnt have a crush on him. I parked in the driveway and got out. Dave followed me and i noticed we matched, i had told him what I was wearing yesterday, and I started to wonder, did he do that on purpose? He had on black jeans and a red button up shirt with a black undershirt under. Sure, we took our glasses off while we were home, but in public, we made sure to have them with us. We almost looked like twins, it was weird.

"Hey Dawn! Whats up m*th*rf*ck*r?" Gamzee was standing behind me, holding a bottle of some weird drink called Faygo. It was really weird, him and his buddies seemed to shimmer, like the air was moving away from them. I decided to ask Dave about it later. "Hey Gamzee, what's up?"

"You gotta try this! it's a m*th*rf*uck*n miracle!" I wrinkled my nose, "ummmm Gamzee, I think I'll pass, thanks though." I walked away quickly, wanting to escape from the weird clown. "Hey Dawn, how ya doin?" Jade was standing in front of me. "Oh, I'm great, why"

"Well, I was wondering, are you dating Dave?" I blushed, and Nepeta came to join the conversation. "Ooooh I just ship them together!" I rolled my eyes at the kitten, she was always going on about how me and

Dave should get together. "No, we're not dating, why?"

"Oh, well, you would make the perfect couple! You should."

"Yah, a puuurfect couple." I sighed, "So guys, do you want to get coffee tomorrow morning?" They each nodded and walked away. Right when I thought I might possibly have a minute, Dave came up to me. "Hey, wanna dance?" I looked at him a minute before accepting, and followed him onto the makeshift dance floor. "Hey, I'm going to get coffee with Nepeta and Jade tomorrow? Wanna come? There might be more people, but you know, it doesn't matter." He smiled and nodded before pulling me towards him and started dancing.

"I, am tired." I sat in the drivers seat, although Dave claimed to be perfectly sober, he couldn't walk in a strait line if his life depended on it. "Come on Dave, let's go home." I patted the seat and he sat, disappointed i wouldn't let him drive.

"Come on, lets get inside and go to bed." I helped him up the stairs and into his door, and into his room, "get dressed, and then time for bed." I pushed him in and shut the door, going to change myself.

time skip to next morning, waiting for nepeta, terezi, jade, and john for coffee. (They were early)

"Thanks for taking care of me last night, i was,well, am, a mess when I'm drunk. " I nodded and took a sip of my coffee, getting cream on my nose. "You got a little something there." He was really close, and before i could wipe it off, he licked my nose. I blushed, "Dave!" He grinned, but he was also blushing a little. "Admit it, you liked it." Ok, i did, but I wasn't about to say it, instead, i sat there and watched him, feeling my cheeks get warmer and warmer. He leaned in, and was so close i could feel his breath on my cheek. "Da-" i was cut off by his lips. He was gentle, and pulled away almost immediatly. "I'm sorry, i didn't mean t-" I cut him off this time. His eyes fluttered and closed, along with mine. "OMG I TOLD YOU THEY WOULD GET TOGETHER!!!" I heard Nepeta scream and I jumped away from Dave. He was blushing and looked away from them. "Hey." i grumbled, I'm sure my face was as red as a tomato. "Ship, ship, ship, sh-"

"Nepeta! Shut up will you? Help me to a seat, I don't want to have to lick everything, so tell me what it looks like." Lick? Oh yah, Terezi was blind and could tast colors. "Well, I guess Strider, you found your girl." I glared at John, tough i'm not sure he knew with my glasses on. i didn't really love Dave, i mean, we met a week ago, well, I didn't love him yet.
