I walked into my new class and sat down. This was going to be a long day, and I knew it to. I sat in the very back and looked around. I saw all the kids come in, a girl was surrounded by a bunch of girls. She walked over towards my desk. I looked up at her lips. "Get up. This is my seat." I smirked, "Make me." She tried to push me, but the teacher came in and stopped her. "She's new Emily, so be nice. Madison it's great to know you are here. I went to school with your father. He was a great person." I smiled and looked over at Emily. She rolled her eyes and walked to another seat. I payed attention to the teacher, Mr. Douglas, and focus on what he was saying. I soon felt someone watching me and I looked over, a blue eyed and blonde hair boy was watching me. He smirked at me and turned back to Mr. Douglas. The bell rang and I walked out of the room. I sighed to myself and texted my dad.
Me: Please bring me some food!!! Or even better pick me up! :)
Dad: I'll come and get you for lunch but you're going back! No if ands or butts!
I groaned and grabbed my stuff going to lunch with my dad. He opened the door for me and I got in. We got to Burger King and I smiled. Dad knew this was just what I needed. We got the usual and sat down. "How's school?" He asked, signing to me. I groaned and replied, "Terrible, I almost got beaten up in my last period." He gave me a concern look ad I smiled, "It's okay though, she couldn't touch me because Mr. Douglas knows you." He smiled. "I remember him! We were best friends, gosh! The memories!" I giggled and ate my burger. I looked over to see the boy from earlier, he was staring at me. My heart started to race, I didn't want anyone to know.
He knows.... Oh my gosh, I'm dead. He's going to tell everyone and I'll be made fun of. Just like that one year, I hated that. That's one of the reasons we left. I wanted to cry, he walked over. "Sir, my name is Hunter, I am in your daughter's algebra class. May I speak to her for a moment?" He nodded and got up, walking away. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were deaf-" "I don't want your pity. All I want is for you not to tell anyone." He nodded and grabbed my hand. "If you need me, I'm here." He started to talk slower, and I stopped him. "Don't talk like that, just talk normal. Not to fast nor to slow, I won't understand." He nodded and started to blush. Was he embarrassed? I looked over at my dad and he smiled. I gave him my look of help and he walked over. "Well, time for you to go back to school! Do you need a ride Hunter?" He smiled, "Thank you Mr. Fair. I would appreciate that." We walked out to the car and Hunter opened the car door. I sat down and we drove off.
This was gonna be a long day...
