Chapter 9

I'm laying in the bed, my wrist are swollen from yanking so long. I wonder how long it's been, three maybe four days. There's been no sign of Hunter or my family. It is pretty boring and I'm super weak from not eating. I learned my offenders name was Michael. He was risking his "all star career " for Emily. He really fell in love with her. She hasn't showed up yet but he said she's coming soon.

I'm stuck here.

No way out.

I feel myself getting more weak. I yank one last time and hear metal break. I looked down and saw the chain between the cuffs were free. I got out! I jumped out of the bed and ran out. I was in a cabin, in the middle of the woods. I saw a dirt bike off in the side of the house. Michael must be here. The keys are still in the ignition. I start it up and go, without turning back. I wonder where the road is. I just kept riding straight.

I finally got to the road and continued to rise straight. I soon landed right into the town and every cop was gone. I got off at my house to see Clare there.

"Clare!" I yelled and hugged her. She hugged me back. "Everyone's looking for you. How did you get out?" I showed her my wrist. "I broke out. Hard to do but I did it. How long have I been gone?" She sighed and teared up, "three weeks..." My breath stopped. Three weeks! It didn't seem that long. "Dad comes home every night. He'll be so happy to see you." I smiled. "And Hunter?" Her smile faded. "He doesn't come out of his house. He's so depressed. Go see him. Tell him you're okay." I ran out of the house and got back on the bike.

I hope he's okay....
