Chapter four

We got all the thing we needed in order to get Clare in school, all we need is the enrollment papers. We decided to mess around in the store. Hunter pushed around the cart while I was in the cart. "I believe I can fly!" I said throwing my hands above my head. He ran faster while I laughed and screamed. We couldn't stop, we were having to much fun. Clare was running at our side, laughing along with us. I guess we were to loud because the store manager made us all leave. At lest we got to buy the stuff.

We got to the car and turned up the radio. Hunter was smiling at me and I smiled back. I almost forgot I was deaf for a moment until Clare tapped my shoulder. She started to sign about how she couldn't wait to see the school and stuff. I smiled and nodded at everything she said. I felt a hand grab mine and I looked down. I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Thank you Hunter, it means a lot you're here with us." He nodded and smiled. I felt butterflies in my stomach. What are these feelings?

~~~~~•The Next Day•~~~~

I woke up and felt arms around me. I knew exactly who it was, I sighed and smiled. I opened my eyes to see him looking at me, "Good morning Madison Marie." He was signing, I was surprised. "I spent all night learning some words. I thought it would be good." I laughed and smiled. "It's perfect Hunter. You're doing great." He got up and faced me. "Breakfast?" He signed and I smiled. I rushed downstairs to see eggs and bacon on the table. I sat down and dug into my food. I moaned lightly, it tasted so good. I turned to see Hunter watching me. He was leaning on the wall, smirking. "Is it good?" I nodded quickly and took another bite. "It looks like you haven't eaten in days." I looked over at him. "Wait.... Did you just say something?." He looks over at me and smiles. "No, I said nothing." I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs, waking Clare.

"Hey sis, school time get up!" She smiled and jumped out of bed. She rushed to the bedroom and got dressed. I rushed downstairs to see them waiting for me, "Let's go." Hunter said and we both nodded. We jumped in the car and drove off. When we got o the school, I saw two guys and a girl waiting there. One guy had his arm wrapped around the girls shoulders and the other was just sitting there. "Who's that?" I asked looking over at Hunter. "My friends, the boy with the girl is Derek and the guy alone is Brad. The girl is Karen. We all went to kindergarten together. Karen started dating Derek a year ago." I nodded my head as we pulled into the parking spot. I looked at Clare. "Brad's cute, maybe he's the guy Hunter was talking about." She started to blush and I laughed. I looked at Hunter. "Madison, Clare, this is Brad the jock, Derek the country, and his girlfriend Karen the cowgirl. Guys this is Madison, who's deaf and Clare her sister." I waved and Brad started talking to Clare. "So how do you know what people are saying?" Karen asked, I smiled and answered kindly. "I read lips and sign. ASL is my second language." She nodded. Hunter grabbed my hand and squeezed it, "Bell rang, we should get going." I nodded and started to walk to class. We were still holding hands. We got in class and I saw Emily with her girls. She was staring with dark eyes at me. Class went on like usual. The only change was I couldn't stop thinking about Hunter.

I was on my way to six period when someone grabbed my hair and pulled me into the janitors office. I was thrown to the ground. "What the hell!?" I yelled trying to get up. It was a man I could tell by the hands, holding me down. "Get off of me!" He put his hand over my mouth. I wanted to scream, to cry. I knew what was gonna happen next. I didn't like it either. I saw a red blinking light and I knew, he was recording this.
