Chapter IX - Thoughts

Jade's mind are still with Althea, she's trying not to think about her but she just can't brushed it away. Infact she find it weird also that she is so concerned about her. She want to make her happy.

Thoughts linger...

Then Jade suddenly stepped on her breaks.

Wait....

She said " her"

She said " She"

Did she just said it wrongly?

Oh oh....Wait ...just wait...

All of a sudden Jade had the urge to pullover and re think...
" I don't think so..." she said it loudly to herself...but what if she is?  There is so much going on her head, It took her a couple of deep breaths before she step on the gas again and drive herself home.

She reached home a little past 9pm.  Traffic was bad. The normal 20mins drive took her almost an hour before reaching her unit.

She went to her kitchen and took some drinks. She
Was staring blankly at the glass of water in front of her. Then she go back to her fridge and opened herself a bottle of Smirnoff vodka. She drink almost half of it. Then she glanced on her phone. Searched for Althea's name and opened the message box.

She typed...

>>> Hi! I'm home. Hope you're home safe too..takecare...

Send>>>

May i ask a question?

She's about to send this message but changed her mind..she deleted the message and put down her phone again.

It was not long when she received a reply from Althea.

>>> Hi Jade...Just got home too. Thanks for checking☺️

She stared at her phone...she have the urge to reply and wanted to engaged a conversation but she decided not to.

Instead, she went to the shower and stayed there a little longer. She changed into a white sleeveless shirt and cotton shorts. She lay down in bed and look at the time its 5 mins after 10pm. It's almost one hour since she last checked her phone. She opened her message and saw a couple of unread message. She look and saw Anton's message and there was a message also from Althea. She felt something in her heart, she wanted to look at Althea's message first, but she chose to read and reply to Anton first,it was a short message.

Hi Babe, yes I'm home , catch up with you later, I love you too...

Then she read Althea's message. It was a long message.

>>> Thanks again Jade for today...to be honest I am not sure how to feel , if i should be sorry that I opened up to you or I should be happy that finally... I have opened to someone and share what's really inside me. It's always a struggle for me to show emotions, i guess i wasn't raised like that.  But I also think that it's because you have a different aura that people tend to be comfortable with you ... that you can easily touched heart. After talking to you it makes me feel better, so thanks again. Maybe soon you will share your story with me too :) i mean your love life, I'm sure yours is different from mine...definitely less drama :) and whoever that person is , He is very lucky guy.
