There was something about the way her eyes stared into mine that made me ache with curiosity. Cato sat down on the bed next to me as the red-head paced back and forth across the room spitting out information left and right. The scene made my head hurt, especially when she said she remembered everything.
"Everything?" I stood, crossing my arms.
"Clove, you have to believe me. Snow is not a good man."
"We've established this," Cato butts in, also rising to his feet.
"I'm more interested in what you remember." I purse my lips at the red-head and wait for a remark.
"I think for now, it's better that the two of you do not know."
"What could possibly be that bad-"
"You two were in love." Jackie spits out. Right away she covers her mouth and rubs her face, "Like really in love. So it seemed. I know it sounds silly-"
"No," Cato shakes his head then sits back down, "it sounds right."
"But that was us then," I breathe out slowly, "I have no memory of Cato. Which leaves me to believe I cannot trust him."
"Which is why you both need to listen very carefully," Jackie rests a hand on my shoulder and frowns. I simply nod, sit back down, and take in all the information.

They say that time is supposed to heal all. That it's supposed to rid you of your demons because with time, comes new opportunities and distractions. The only distraction I've received after Jackie spilling the beans, is a girl named Ellie. During training one day, while I was throwing knives, I noticed her knife lodge into a stomach of a nearby dummy. Needless to say, it peaked my interest and since then, we've been training together, which has only been a few days.
Ellie Taylor is her full name. She comes from a pretty expensive lifestyle here in the Capitol. Her clean long copper hair and navy blue eyes outshine the tributes amongst us, considering our shampoo dries us out. She's only 14 too, which means she has plenty of time to practice, even though her skills won't be used in an arena to kills kids her own age.
As of right now, we're seated on her bed, petting her pet cat, that has taken a liking into my long nail scratches.
"What's like in District Two," Ellie asks, glancing at me as she pads across her plush carpeted floor.
I'm really not supposed to be here, but Ellie begged her Peacekeeper dad to let me in, "It's much like a bootcamp. Everything is open, nice but not overly nice, kinda clean. It's homey."
"Have you ever been outside of District Two?"
The question makes me fumble with thoughts, especially when I can see flowers and greenhouses, "I think so."
"You think so?" Ellie asks, sitting back down next to me.
"Yeah," I nod, "I don't remember much."
"I know." Ellie sighs, "I'm sorry."
I give her a sympathetic smile then rise to my feet, "Don't be sorry. It's not your fault."
"Kind of."
"No." I shake my head, "I'm going to head back to my room. If you need me, just send a message on the tablet."
"Will do," Ellie waves me goodbye as I slip out her door and start the walk back to the tributes section.
As I walk I notice that on this side of housing, everything is much more secured. Cameras are in every corner, each door requires not only a key card, but a finger print as well. When I swipe the elevator door key into the slot, I'm met with the same color eyes as me. The woman stares, then fidgets with her fingers, "Clove."
