Beth's POV:

We walk in silence both of us lost in our own thoughts when we come to a town. All the houses are very big like they were owned by rich people before. All except the one house I had my eye on. The smaller two-story yellow house, with white shutters and red tulips still managing to grow in the front. All of a sudden Daryl broke the silence saying,

"You pick which one"

I didn't expect him to let me choose, so when he made the decision up to me I didn't argue about the reason why.

I then act like I'm considering all my options even though I already know which one I'm choosing. I turn to face Daryl again only he's not there anymore. I automatically start panicking. He was nowhere in sight.

" Daryl? Daryl!?"

Then I glance over at the yellow house and see Daryl waving me over from the kitchen window. I jog over and into the house and question how he knew I wanted this one and he answered,

" I just knew"

About 9:30 pm still Beth's POV:

We clear the house and find what food is left, which isn't very much.

I sit down in the pink chair that I declared mine and eat fruit cocktail and squirrel which was supposed to substitute as dinner. Shortly after we finished Daryl said something so unlike him. He asked if I would sing.

Daryl's POV:

Did I really just ask her to sing? Apparently I did because now she's looking at me really weird while saying,

" I thought you were annoyed by my singing"

I just simply answered,

" I was."

That's when she started to sing...

If you would just slow down

You would see

We were meant for something

Lay your armor down

Stay with me

Aren't you tired of running?

Can we go back to before this storm came raging?

And everything we built was good

So sing to me till I fall asleep

Like the way you did when you were still mine

And tell me that its not over yet

We were never good at saying goodbye

Can't you see what's right in front of your eyes

I had closed my eyes while Beth was singing and I guess she thought I fell asleep because when her voice stopped she came over to the couch and slid under the covers really close to me. I felt myself tense but relax as I heard her quiet snoring. And then I realized how it almost felt natural, kinda felt.....right to be holding Beth. Frankly it kinda scared me.
