Kol's POV
I stood outside a crypt, pacing and waiting for the harvest girls to appear. This was my chance to get Elisa back, and I wasn't going to waste it. This year had been awful without her in my life, and I needed to make sure she was okay.
Footsteps approached me and one of the girls appeared, staring at me nervously.
"Well? I don't like to be kept waiting" I stepped towards her, tapping my foot impatiently.
"Ummm... Elisa... she.." the girl mumbled, almost scared to reveal the answer. "Spit it out, witch" I raised my voice slightly, my words venomous.
"Elisa's not in the ancestral realm" she rushed her words, scared at how I'd react.
My blood began boiling as I thought about what could've happened to her. "Where is she then?" I walked closer to the girl, feeling my fangs beginning to appear. How could she have escaped? It was impossible.
"We can't locate her. We've tried everything but we cannot sense her in the Quarter" the girl replied before running back into the crypt.
Rage filled my body as I thought about her being destroyed or hurt by someone on the other side. Unable to control myself, I clenched my fist and punched into a gravestone , cracks forming in the structure. How could this happen to us? Every time we get close to being together or are happy, something always tears us apart.
I rushed to a new section of the cemetery, away from the witches crypt. Looking around, I found the grave that made my heart fall to the pit of my stomach.
Approaching it, I placed my hand over the writing, a tear rolling down my cheek. "I need you, Elisa. I miss you so much. Please, tell me when you are".
Silence formed around me, causing me to break down even more. She was gone. I was never going to see Elisa Jones again.

Klaus' POV
I paced around the courtyard, anger filling my body. I'd never felt so useless before. Everyone seemed to be busy except for me, and with the Hollow walking around the Quarter acting like she owned the city, there was nothing I wanted more than to see her head detached from her body.
"Klaus". Hayley walked towards me, hope clear on her face. "We saved Elijah. He's stable in the pendant for a little longer". Happiness as clear in her voice, and I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.
"Well that's one problem solved, now to the next 20 we need to deal with" I sarcastically replied before pacing again. "What's wrong, Klaus?" Hayley asked, clearly agitated by my attitude.
I looked at her, rage clear on my face. "What's wrong is that although my brother may be safe, we are still no closer to stopping our enemy who, might I point out, we still don't fully understand. Kol should be back with information, but instead he's gallivanting around the city, Marcel is focused on Sofia, Rebekah is out searching for anything she can find, and I am stood here feeling useless!!" My voice raised as I expressed my emotions, Hayley clearly taken aback by my outburst.
"Look, I know your angry, but has your family ever let you down before? Always and forever, Klaus. Give them time and soon we will be able to end this" Hayley's calm tone of voice relaxed me slightly, allowing me to release a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"What's all the shouting?" We both turned to see Hope looking at us, confusion in her eyes. Hayley and I approached the little girl, trying to cover up the outburst that had just occurred. "Nothing, sweetie. Your father just needed to get something off his chest" Hayley knelt down and kissed her on the forehead, before grabbing her hand. "Should me and your dad teach you how to make some cupcakes?"
Hope nodded her head excitedly, before offering her hand to me. Although I may want my enemies vanquished, I could never say no to my little girl. "Come Hope. Let's make the best cupcakes in the world" I said smiling before leading her to the kitchen.
Freya's POV
I stood over a map, locating what magic was occurring in the city. If the Hollow was cast in a powerful spell, I would know about it immediately.
Footsteps approached and I looked to see Keelin, my girlfriend, stood admiring my work.
"You know you should really rest? I may not be a witch but I know working overtime exhausts a person" she smiled at me softly, caring about my health.
"I can't rest when my family is in danger and when I don't know what my enemy is doing" I replied, huffing.
I placed a black liquid on the map and began chanting, waiting for it to move and show I'd any dangerous spells had been cast. Power surged through my veins and into the map, and I focused on the Hollow and the darkness of her nature.
Suddenly, I was thrown back into a wall, pain travelling all over my body. Keelin rushed to my side, slowly helping me up. "Freya, are you okay?" Her voice sounded panicked as she looked me up and down.
I nodded my head at her and looked at the table, shocked at what was in front of me. "What the hell was that?" Keelin asked, confused at what had just happened.
"What happened was the Hollow just did a powerful spell, one that was deadly and dangerous" I replied, observing how the map I was using had been ripped in half from the surge of energy the locator spell produced.
Fear rushed through me as I walked out of the room, Keelin close behind me. Whatever the Hollow just did, it was a threat to us all.
