Kol's POV
I returned to the compound, drained from what had happened with the witches. I couldn't believe Elisa was gone. I wouldn't believe it. The Hollow must be behind this.
As I got further into the building, Klaus' voice echoed around me, his shouts clear.
"What do you mean she's done something dangerous?" I huffed as I realised I hadn't done what he said, but then again I'm nobody's lap dog.
Going to one of the bedrooms, I found Freya with her girlfriend Keelin facing Klaus, who was obviously concerned.
"I don't know what she did, but it was strong and powerful. It had the power to completely destroy my locator spell, which has never happened before" Freya explained.
I stopped in front of them and sighed. "So, we find out what she's done, kill the witch and live happily ever after. Easy peasy" I joked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Now is not the time for jokes, Kol. You don't know the power that witch has. She is far more deadlier that we first expected and she could kill any of us in a split second if she wanted. We need to proceed with caution" Klaus warned.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. No wonder this family is always getting attacked. We just sit here like ducks.
"Well, whilst you all sit here waiting to die I'm going to find the love of my life". I turned and began walking out, feeling Freya's head dart towards me. "You found Elisa?"
I froze and looked at her. "She's not in the ancestral realm, which means either she's been pulled out of there or she is somewhere else and needs saving. Either way, I'm not leaving this pathetic city without her".
As I spoke, Freya's eyes darted around the room, almost as if she was piecing a puzzle together.
"You may not have to look far, Kol" she replied, causing me to frown. What did that mean?
Freya rushed to a cupboard and pulled out a new map of New Orleans, placing it on a table and ushering us all to gather around.
"Okay so when the blast happened it split the map from here downwards" she pointed at a section in the city, which was where the cemetery was. "The spell that the Hollow performed must've required a great amount of power to cause the map to split, but I think the real reason it did split was because she created a crack between realms".
Keelin looked at her confused. "But that's impossible. I thought whenever a soul is brought back it's just a case of resurrecting them with no consequences or issues? This shouldn't happen" she said, trying to understand what was happening.
Freya continued staring at the map, processing what her girlfriend was saying. "That's what pretty much happens when you resurrect a witch. Just resurrect their ash and that's it" she paused before looking at me. "But more power is required if you're not just a witch....."
Realisation hit me as I understood what she was saying. "You mean to say... that spell... the Hollow resurrected Elisa?"
I felt tears forming in my eyes as a sense of happiness and joy flowed through me. Freya smiled at me. "My guess is that she did".
I looked at Klaus who looked relieved but also concerned. "Why would she resurrect her though? There must be a reason she would bring her back". I looked at him and frowned. "It doesn't matter. I have spent a year alone with no way of knowing where she was or if she was okay. My heart was empty and there was no one who could fill it. I am not going to lose the love of my life again, brother. What would you do if it was Camille?"
Klaus opened his mouth before quickly shutting it again. He sighed, realising he couldn't win against that question.
"Be careful brother" Klaus said before smiling at me and gesturing to the doorway. "Go and find her and make sure she is safe. And make sure this time you do not let her go no mater what".
I grinned at him before rushing out the door, heading for the cemetery.
I couldn't understand why the Hollow would resurrect Elisa, but that didn't matter to me.
What mattered was finding her and making sure no harm ever came to her again.
Elisa's POV
My eyes fluttered open slowly as I processed what had just happened. I remember telling the Hollow where my ashes were and feeling a sense of weightlessness, almost as if I was being pulled out of darkness.
Looking around, I saw candles placed around me and a circle drawn with white chalk.
"It's okay" a voice echoed around me. I looked and saw the Hollow stood there, looking at me smiling.
"What happened?" I asked her, standing up slowly. "I resurrected you, welcome back to the land of the living" she replied, blowing at the ground. I watched as the charcoal disappeared, allowing me to step out.
"Why did you bring me back?" Questions circled around in my head as I tried to process what was happening. I was back, I was alive, and I was confused.
"I linked us both. As long as I am alive, so are you. You're a powerful witch and vampire. It took a lot of preparing to return you to both of those states, but I managed to do it. See, you're a broken yet strong girl, and that makes a good ally and soldier. I want you to protect me from the Mikaelson's and help me destroy them" her eyes met mine as she said the final sentence, causing my heart to plummet.
"I will never hurt them. They are my friends. You will not touch them" I felt my fangs extend as I hissed at her, feeling anger bubbling up inside of me.
"See that's the one issue I have. You know them and they know you. Nevertheless, I can solve that" she smirked and I continued looking a her, a strange sense of fear forming in the pit of my stomach.
"And how can you do that?" I asked, prepared to fight her.
She grinned evilly before stepping forward. "By changing your memories".
Before I could react, the Hollow placed her hands on my head and began chanting.
I felt my memories being shifted and changed, and I was unable to fight it. All of my emotions were changing and I had no clue what to do. My past with Kol was disappearing, and I could feel a hatred forming towards the Mikaelson's.
Suddenly, the Hollow released me, stepping back to look at me. She was out of breath and was watching me intently.
"So, ,what do you think of the Mikaelsons now, Elisa?" She asked.
My blood boiled at the name as I remembered all of the things they did to me. How they tortured me and hunted me down. How they used Kol to get close to me when he was really just playing with my emotions. How they tried to take my powers and stake me. I felt anger building up inside of me as I recalled everything that happened between me and them, and all I could think of was getting revenge.
I slowly looked up and smirked, facing the Hollow, who returned the look.
"I think it's about time we destroyed them".
