A/N: *peaks out of hiding place* Is it safe to come out now? *Nearby Viking nods* Oh,Good *stands and sighs in relief* Well, I guess we should just start the last part before everyone finds me, right? Yeah? Okay. On to the story!!!
Almost as soon as he said the words, he heard someone running up the stairs, and a dragon too, running up. The door opened and Toothless was there, with Valka right behind him.
"Mom?" Hiccup asked weakly.
"I'm right here." she told him and sat on the bed with him.
He cuddled into her, and she held him like she could've done all those years ago when he was just a child.
"I'm sorry Hiccup, was it another nightmare?" She asked.
He nodded and wiped away his tears.
"I'm sorry, I know it's hard. I've had a few nightmares of my own, it's not easy." Valka said, running her hands through his hair. "But we're here, and I promise, It gets better." She told him. "Being with those who love you, and talking about from time to time can really help." She told him gently. "You can always talk to me. I know I haven't always been here, and I'm sorry for that, but I promise, I want to be here now. And Toothless is here. And so is Astrid. She loves you very much you know." Valka said with a smile as he pulled back.
"Oh gods...Astrid. She probably hates me right now. I-I pushed her away, I yelled at her, when I should've just let her hold me. She probably doesn't even want to be near me. Why do I always ruin everything?" He asked.
"No, Hiccup, you don't ruin everything, I promise. I can bet you Astrid wants nothing but to see you right now and to know that you're okay."
Hiccup sighed and didn't answer immediately.
"But mom...I yelled at her. I-I've never yelled at her before....Gods, I feel terrible." He said, fiddling with the sheets.
"I know Hiccup, but she'll understand. She's a tough girl, and she knows that you're going through a lot. Trust me, I know, I've been in her position. All she really wants, is to make sure that you're okay, she just wants to be with you." Valka said with a smile.
Hiccup nodded. "Y-You're right. I'm going to make it up to her." He said, trying to get up and forgetting his prosthetic, falling to the ground again.
Valka laughed slightly as her son sat up and put on his prosthetic. "Son, it's too late now, she's probably asleep."
"She won't mind. She's uh-Well she's kinda used to it." Hiccup said. He stood up and kissed his mom on the cheek.
"Thanks mom, I really owe you one." He told her before running downstairs. "Come on Bud!" Hiccup called over his shoulder. Toothless ran down after him and Hiccup jumped on Toothless before taking off to Astrid's house. The closer he got though, the more nervous he became
When he landed in front of her house, it was still dark and he was crazy nervous. He knocked carefully and listened for any sign of movement. If her parents weren't home, he probably would've went inside. But instead, he went around the back and started to climb. It had been a few years since he had done this, but he was still able to pull himself up to her window. He looked inside and saw that she was lying on her side, her back facing him, and he assumed she was asleep. He was about to call out to her when he saw her turn over, a worried look on her face. She saw him on the window ledge and sat up.
"H-Hiccup? What are you doing here?" She asked, and it was clear she was quite worried.
"I...I wanted to take you s-somewheres...The cove, if you want, I-If you'll come." He said hesitantly, not moving from his spot at the window.
