Chapter Nine: Leaving

A mighty wind has picked up outside of the building. It sends the leaves to swarm around a gentleman who is departing the Opera Populaire. Swiftly, he moves down the stairs, passing Rapunzel who is also making her way out of the grand building.

Rapunzel pauses for a moment. Observing the grand car that she knows holds the young girl. Rapunzel notices how the girl watching her, and very slowly she bows her head in a thanking manor. Rapunzel takes the moment to appreciate the gesture, before bowing her head herself.

The young woman follows Rapunzel, even as Mary sits beside her she does not take her eyes off Rapunzel. She sits and observes the elder woman, even as Johnston starts up the vehicle. Only as they are driving away, did the young girl look else were. Her eyes regard the mirror to see Rapunzel's mirrors image until all she sees is a mere dot.

Rapunzel watches as the grand car disappears into the distance. Knowing very well where it is going, she gives a small smile. She stands, still, the leaves surround her and struck her various time. Waiting, until there is no automobile to be seen anymore.

All she has to do now is wait.
