"I never thought I'd be in heaven after I died" I mumbled adjusting my eyes to the brightness of the room.
"Trust Tessa to wake up in a hospital from unconsciousness with a very stupid sentence" a familiar female voice said.
I looked up and saw Char. Ah! There is no way she is actually there.
"Did you jump out from six feet underground?" I said to Char.
"Yeah I did, stupid" Char replied.
"Wierdo" I said back to her.
"Says the girl who was mumbling Bart's name in her sleep" she sang out.
"Shut up, Char" I hugged her tight.
"I missed you too, dummy" she mumbled in my hair while releasing herself from the hug.
"I thought you were dead"
"Well you thought wrong" she replied making me glare at her.
"Okay, what really happened was that as usual you were not patient, what ..

FlashbackTESSA'S POV
The drive to the hospital felt like years.
Actually I hate hospitals because they remind me of danger. Anyway, as Char's mum paced around, the doctor came and talked to her but they talked quietly. It was to the point that I couldn't hear, but I knew Char's situation was very critical.I remember getting down on my little
eight year old knee. I clasped my little hands together and talked to God like a friend. I didn't care that everyone was staring at me. I was just praying for a miracle.
After a few minutes the doctor came in and said " I am sorry ma' am, we tried all we can but your daughter lost her...
He hadn't finished his sentence, when I ran out of the hospital. I ran as fast as I could and three months later we packed away.
------"This event could have been prevented if you had let the doctor finished his sentence" she scolded.
"He was going to say, your daughter lost her memory not her life".she finished.
"Why didn't you come and meet me? I was in Hiddenville for three more months" I said.
"Hello?! I had memory loss, does that ring a bell? The main question is why did you leave?" she said angrily waving her hands in the air to emphasize her point.
"As soon as I regained that memory, there wasn't a place I didn't check. I checked your favorite park, I went to your room and saw that all your stuffed animals were intact. I saw your diary, but there was no sign of you" she paused for a minute very close to tears.
"Last year, I saw your dad's two years remembrance in a magazine. I went to his grave, but there was no sign of you. It was like you vanished off the face of the earth" she finished.
"I was so busy blaming Bart for your death, that I never thought about how reasonable it would be to tell your mom or leave a trace to where I was going. I didn't even go to your burial that never took place. If only I had asked for your grave, I would have known you weren't dead, but instead I blamed it all on Bart" I finished up and broke down on her shoulder.
After a couple of minutes I sniffed.
"Talking about Bart do you still like him?Seriously, that guy almost killed the doctor when they won't allow him to see you"
"Shut up Char, way to end a nice moment. I never liked him" I said.
"I never really had a ginger coloured hair" she said and I looked at her, I was completely confused.
"I thought we were talking about the things we still lied to ourselves about" she said.
"Char, I will personally kill you and send you back to being six feet under, as soon as you send Bart in the room" I said.
"You are choosing lover boy over me?" she fake gasped putting a hand over her heart dramatically.
"Just don't forget when you kiss him, that you are still in the hospital" she said running away.
I threw a pillow at her and sat up straight. I thought about what Char said. I can't possibly like Bart, I just have some strange feelings for him. I can't like him.
My heart fluttered as Bart entered the room, it's just the excitement of seeing a close friend I said calming my heart nothing else, nothing else...

I was going to write the next chapter tonight, but I am feeling sleepy. Something is better than nothing right?Do you know how funny it is that I look from the beginning and laugh at how far they have come? I still can't believe I wrote this book.
