He was kissing me and I loved it. He started to become more forceful and I started to panic. “Stefan, I don’t think I’m ready for that.” I whispered. He looked at me and I swear I saw fire in his eyes. “I love you so do this one thing for me.” He told me as his kissed my neck. I tried to run but he held me back against my will. “You will do this.” He growled. I screamed as he ripped my clothes off me. Tears streamed down my face. “Stefan; stop please!!” I screamed...

“Vanessa! Wake up!” I could a voice yelling my name. I forced my eyes open and saw Marcus hovering over me with a concerned look on his face. Tears streamed down my face and I realised I was sweating. He folded me into his embrace and tried to calm me down. After a while, I got over the shock but Marcus was still holding onto me. “Let go.” I whispered. “It’s okay; I’ve got you. He’s not gonna hurt you anymore.” He replied probably thinking I was talking about Stefan. “Marcus, can you let go please?” I tried again in a hushed voice but it came out quite harsh. He looked down and slowly released me. “Sorry for caring.” He muttered as he got up off my bed. “I’m sorry I snapped at you but I don’t like prolonged contact with people I don’t know.” I explained. “You know me; I’m Marcus.” He replied. “Just because I know your name doesn’t mean I know you.” I told him. He looked at me thoughtfully. “I’m sorry for waking you up. You can go back to sleep now.” I told him before walking into the bathroom.

After washing my face and staring at my reflection for ten minutes, I walked out of the bathroom. Marcus had already fallen asleep and I took this chance to get a good look at him. He was mix-raced; I could tell by his curly hair. He wasn’t wearing a shirt so I could see his broad chest and toned abs. He was pretty tall too. I am not gonna lie; Marcus was looking sexy even though I couldn’t see his captivating eyes as he was asleep. I sighed and turned towards my bed. I took out my iPod earphones, put them on and sat on the bed, waiting for morning.

*Several Hours Later*

After a few hours, I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I know what you’re thinking. You’re probably thinking why I brush my teeth before I eat breakfast. The simple answer is that I just do. Don’t judge. It pisses me off when I have to explain that to everyone. I brushed my teeth and then I started to sing Jill Scott Hear My Call. “You’re actually pretty good at singing.” Marcus commented and I jumped. “Woah you really scared me there.” I told him and tried to calm down. “You brush your teeth before breakfast?” He asked raising an eyebrow. “Yes I do. I grew up doing it and even though you and most of the world think it’s completely pointless to brush your teeth before breakfast, I’m not gonna change so can we please drop this subject?” I ranted and Marcus started laughing. “Jeez calm down; I was just about to say that I do too.” He told me. My mouth dropped open and Marcus laughed.

We went down to the dining room and joined on at the end of the table, where everyone from the retreat were sitting. I was happy it was a buffet because I was so hungry. I got a stack of pancakes and then went back to my seat. I must admit I probably was acting piggish but I didn’t appreciate the look that Marcus was giving me. “People you can go back to your rooms and hang out for another hour and then at ten thirty, I want everyone to come down to the meeting room we were in yesterday.” Isaac told us and we all agreed.

AN: I know this is just a filler but I will be posting a real chapter later on in the week :)
