We woke up in the morning and went about our business before walking down to breakfast. I sat down next to Lia and Hayley. “Did you guys have a nice time catching up?” Lia asked me. “Why didn’t you tell us it wasn’t a date?” Hayley complained. “I tried to tell you guys but you wouldn’t listen to me.” I replied shrugging. “Well your brother is a fine piece of ass.” Lia told me. “I don’t think I forgot since you told me yesterday.” I teased her and she blushed slightly. I was so hungry so I piled my plate and stuffed my face until I felt like I was going to be sick. Lia and Hayley stared at me in horror. “This is what happens when you idolise your older brother too much.” I smiled sheepishly.

We walked down to the meeting room and to our surprise Isaac wasn’t there when we walked in. We waited for ten minutes and he walked in looking very tired. “Sorry for being late guys.” He apologised. “Today you can do whatever you want to do so long as you keep safe and you stay within the area.” He told us before dismissing us. “So what do you want us to do babe?” Marcus asked me. “Who said I wanted to spend today with you?” I replied smirking before walking off with Lia and Hayley.

“I need some new clothes.” I told them. “You want to impress Marcus, huh?” Hayley asked. “Not even.” I replied shaking my head. “You do like him though don’t you?” Lia enquired. “As a friend.” I told them but they didn’t look like they believed me. We walked through many shops. I bought a few pairs of shorts and I got some more summer dresses. “I might end up having to leave some clothes here because I doubt all of this will fit in my suitcase.” I realised as we walked out of the centre.

We were on our way back to the hotel and we decided to walk along the beach when I saw someone that made me stop. “I never thought I’d see you again Van.” He remarked to me. The sound of his voice so close to mine made a shiver run down my spine. I instantly felt sick and my knees began to feel weak and not in a good way either. Before me stood Stefan; the boy who singlehandedly ruined my life. He smirked at me and I remember when that face used to make my heart race. Well my heart raced but it was because I was on the verge of the panic attack. I was frozen solid.

“Ness who is this dude?” Hayley asked me. I turned to face her slowly but still no words were coming out of my mouth. Lia took one look at my face and realised that it was him. I could see the realisation dawning on her face. I was struggling to breathe. He was supposed to be in prison. “How?” I could only manage to get out that one word. “Good behaviour pays off you know.” He replied and I could hear the grin in his voice. “America?” My mind wasn’t really working properly. “I was sent over here to live with my grandma.” He told me. I could feel him walking closer to me and my heart rate began to pick up. He lifted his fingers and brushed them gently against my face and I flinched. “Get your hands off of her!” Lia growled and shoved him back. I stared at her shocked. “Who the fuck are you?” He demanded. “I’m Vanessa’s friend.” She snapped. “Feisty; I like that.” He commented before advancing on her.

I couldn’t stand and watch anymore. I tugged on his arm fiercely. “Want me all to yourself do you?” He chuckled and then snaked his arm around my waist. “Ness don’t go with him.” Hayley pleaded. “It’s okay guys just go back to the hotel guys.” I begged. He grabbed my wrist and squeezed really hard. “Oww you’re hurting me.” I told him as he pulled me away. “This is payback for snaking on me. You thought you had it bad? Well you’re in for a real nightmare.” He grinned evilly. I started to struggle against him but he had a vice like grip. “Let me go.” I begged. “Why would I do that that?” He enquired cocking an eyebrow. Next thing I knew he was on the floor cradling a bloody nose. “Because I will kill you if you don’t” A voice growled. I turned to see my big brother glaring at Stefan. He looked so angry I was actually scared myself.

I slumped to the floor as the shock took over my body. I was dimly aware of my brother picking me up and carrying to the hotel. He met Lia in the hallway and they took me up to my room. Marcus was sitting on the bed but he stood up as soon as he saw me. Tears were streaming down my face as I continued to think about what could’ve happened to me. Stefan would’ve made my life a misery as payback for putting him in prison. I would never escape him. He would rule over my life forever.

Once I had calmed down, my brother needed to leave because he had to get back to work. “I’ll try to come see you later on in the evening okay?” He told me and I nodded. Lia had called him once Stefan had pulled me away from her and Hayley. How she managed to get his number is a wonder to me but I have a feeling that it had something to do with her stealing my phone earlier on. I would ask her later. “I’m so sorry I couldn’t help you before Ness.” Lia whispered. I shook my head and smiled. It wasn’t her fault. She got the message, gave me a quick hug and went back to her room. “Who is this guy and what did he do to you?” Marcus demanded. Oh boy...
