"Robin, we're going to Utah." Sam's voice wakes Robin up.

"What?" she asks, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"Utah. We need to go," Dean says, in a more harsh tone, but not sounding mean.

Looking at the clock, she realizes that it is past noon. She jumps out of the bed and rushes to put on clothes.

By one, she walks into the room and smiles, feeling awkward for holding them up.

"Are you ready?" Sam asks.

She looks around the room and sees that her suitcase has been packed for her. She nervously laughs and responds, "Yep."

"Okay," he says through a smiling mouth, "let's go."

As Robin walks towards the door, it is opened by Castiel. He holds it open for her and grins, thinking he is doing the right thing, but he doubts himself when she doesn't return his eye contact. Awkwardly, he asks, "Am I wrong?"

She turns around, confused. "What?"

"Am I wrong in holding the door open for you? I thought human-" He gets cut off as Dean walks up behind him and lays a large hand over his mouth. Cas turns around and gives dean a surprised look.

"Cas," Dean gives him a look that in itself says 'what are you doing', "you're right, idiot."

Castiel's expression becomes confused, wondering if it was meant as "a joke" or "endearing comment," but his voice seemed too harsh.

As Robin walks off to the car, Dean pulls Cas back and stares blatantly at him. "What were you doing?"

"I believe that I did something wrong?" He asks it questioningly, as if not sure about his statement.

A crow squawks in the distance, causing an outbreak from other birds. The sun blares down harshly at the tops of the two mens' heads. Dean pinches the bridge of his nose. "I thought I told you how to deal with women. Not how to look stupid."

"I was only questioning my actions," he says innocently.

"Don't do that. Act confident, even when you think you did something wrong. Women like that."

Turning his head, Castiel stares over at where Robin is walking off to. A door of the Impala slams shut. Dean flinches, then yells, "Be gentle with my baby!" He sees Robin look up at him with an apologetic gaze. She gives a thumb up to show that she understands.

"Anyways, just act confident and natural, and you'll do fine." Dean emphasizes the word natural.

"How do I 'act natural'?" he asks with a confused look.

"Just watch me the next time I get a girl. Until then, don't try too hard. Whatever is going to happen will happen."

The car door suddenly opens and both Robin and Sam look up. Dean steps into the driver's seat, and Cas plops into the seat next to Robin.

"So, where are we going?" Robin questions after several minutes of silent driving.

"Payson, Utah. We have a case of vamps," Dean informs her, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Vampires?" Robin asks.

"Yep. They're taking over the Mormon cathedral, turning people one by one. It's a full-blown nest."

Again, Robin is confused. She shoots a questioning look up into the front of the car. "Nest is a huge family of vampires all turned from the same vamp," Sam explains to her. The only response that she gives to him is a gaping stare.

A while later, a thin line of drool is rolls down Castiel's trench coat, making its way to the seat. It goes unnoticed, as the only thing he sees is her. Any imperfections disappear, and all that is left is beauty. He brushes her hair from her face behind her ear to get a clearer look. She murmurs, then moves closer to his warmth. A small smile forms, shining brightly through the stubble.

Dean glimpses back from the drivers seat and catches the look on Cas's face. A sharp jab with an elbow wakes up Sam. "What?" he mutters sleepily, but in an irritated tone.

Dean puts a finger to his lips, giving Sam a look emphasizing he should be quiet. Then, he points back at Robin. Sam looks at her, and is taken aback by Castiel. He is completely absorbed in her face, not noticing the eyes watching him. Dean returns his eyes to the road, but Sam continues to observe him with curiosity. "I've never seen him so intent on something, not even when he's looking at you," Sam whispers quietly to Dean. Dean remains quiet, turning his head towards the driver's side window.

Headlights speed by, and a trail of red tail lights light the road ahead. The road so far is marked by nothing but memory (reference intended). Roads to be traveled are unknown, left to be discovered. The stars twinkle bright up above, and beyond is the heavens. Castiel stares up at them, hearing the angel radio in his ears.

Robin stirs, causing him to look down at her. She sits up and stretches out her arms, bumping her balled up fists against the ceiling. Yawning largely, she rubs her eyes.

"Have you rested well?" Castiel asks her, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, only from the sight of her waking face.

Looking up at him with tired eyes, she says, "Mhm," not noticing the loving look in his eyes.

Unbeknownst to her, Castiel slowly is falling in love with her. The adoration he has is growing, and is more than any other angel has ever had for a human.

Love for the human race is suppressed by most angels, even after the downfall of heaven. Few angels remained on earth after that, and they then were murdered (I know, common knowledge to fans). Cas is the only angel left with complete and genuine love for the humans.

"That is good to hear," he says to Robin.

"Where are we?" She asks, opening her mouth widely and yawning.

Instead of an answer from Castiel, Dean responds. "Just outside of Rawlins, Wyoming. There's still about five hours to go."

Robin tips her head back and groans. "Why don't you pick cases that are close to where you are?" she complains.

Sam and Dean exchange glances for a moment, not exactly sure what to say. "Because when a case needs to be solved, it doesn't matter where we have to go to get it done," Sam finally says.

"Oh..."

Car lights continue to flash by. Robin falls asleep against Castiel, along with Sam in the front seat. Dean and Cas are left in silence.
