Our story starts in a small town like every other town in America, a town called Rosewood. From the outside looking in, Rosewood may seem perfect, airbrushed and rich. But it is far from it.

What you don't see when you aren't looking, is everything that really happens in Rosewood. All of the lies, secrets, cover ups and mysteries that make Rosewood what it is today. A dangerous place to live in.

One of the biggest mysteries was a girl called Alison Dilaurentis. She was the Queen Bee of Rosewood High and was one of the richest daughters in Rosewood; living in a pristine, white mansion with her brother, Jason and her parents, Jessica and Kenneth.

Now you notice that I am using the past tense here, well this is where our story begins.

Opposite one of the many big, rich mansions in Rosewood, is a barn. On a stormy, summers night, five pretty girls sit in the barn, wrapped up in blankets sipping their hot cocoa and watching 'The Duff' for the millionth time. Suddenly the power is cut off and the girls grab their torches, looking around the barn for any candles.

Olivia turns to the doors of the barn, staring suspiciously as it's creaks open. "Guys we're not alone." Olivia says bluntly to her friends.

Alison rolls her eyes. "It's just the guys trying to scare us. Don't go and wet yourself."

The other girls giggled while Olivia moved towards the doors. Then out of nowhere, a group of boys charge through the barn laughing their heads off.

Olivia sighs in relief and crashes back onto the big sofa bed, still with her blanket wrapped around her.

Olivia's friends join her; with Alison and Melody on her right, and Ella and Becky on her left. The boys sit down opposite them, making themselves comfortable on the big armchairs and sofas.

Now before I carry on with the story, there's something you should know before hand. You see there is always the popular group in every high school. It's just the way it is.

Cliques and groups of people separated within the school depending on their interests. The popular group usually consisted of cheerleaders and jocks, but in Rosewood you would call them 'the rich kids'.

Within the popular group, there is; Alison Dilaurentis, of course holding the reigns as Queen of Rosewood High along with her friends (or followers as some people like to call them), Olivia Woods, Becky Hunter, Melody King and Ella Stone. Then there are the boys; Archie Jones, Noah Grayson, Jacob Carter, Isaac Taylor and Dylan Parker.

Now within every popular group you have the nice, sweet ones, the bitchy ones and the plain evil ones. The girls may come across as innocent but in reality they were just as bad as Alison. And the boys... well they were just jerks. Now back to the story at hand.

The storm was loud from inside the barn and even though the fireplace was on, the girls still shivered, hugging their blankets around them.

After the laughter from the boys had stopped, Alison spoke up first. "So boys, you wanna play a game?" She asks them, smirking.

The girls exchange nervous looks between each other, worried about what game Ali had planned for them this time. Somehow they always got sucked into Ali's games and it always ended up with them getting hurt or just being plain humiliated. It's like Ali enjoyed watching them suffer.

Noah caught Olivia's eyes as they exchanged a look that said what has she got planned this time. Noah and Olivia go way back, as do the rest of the group, they all met in Kindergarten.

But Olivia and Noah met when they were just 2 years old. Their families were pretty close so they always played with each other as kids. Ever since then they were best friends, although Olivia wishes they could be more but we'll get back to that, but for now everyone in the room was silent, waiting for someone to reply to Ali.
