"No! Your crazy bex, Jason would never kill his own sister! Why on earth would you think that?"
"Because he told me he did."
Before I know it I'm running back to where it all began and ended, at the same time.
I throw the door open violently not realising that the whole damn Scooby gang were there, drinking their sorrows away.
Ella, Melody and Dylan were sat on the sofa playing a drinking game. While Isaac, Archie and Noah were stood in the kitchen mixing drinks.
I storm through the lounge ignoring their stares and I push the bedroom door open and search through the stuff Jason left here last summer from the numerous amount of parties he threw in the barn.
My hands stumble through the bookshelf, throwing books behind me, desperately searching for answers as to why he would murder his little sister.
Then I find it, I didn't think I would find anything, I really hoped that I wouldn't but I did.
You can never unsee things. And I honestly wished I didn't find one of Ali's diaries at the bottom of his gym bag but I did and I read her last entry.
It basically said that she was going to tell her parents and the police about his drug dealing. She tried to get him to stop but he was on a downward spiral so she told him that she was going to go to the police if he didn't stop. And well, long story short, she never made it there.
Those threats she said were coming from Isaac were actually coming from her older brother. My ex-boyfriend!
God! When did things get so damn complicated...
As soon as I read the diary entry, I told my friends and we went straight to the police with it. Jason was arrested and he eventually confessed to everything. To threatening Ali to keep her quiet, to killing her, to shooting Maddy after she found out about what he did to his sister.
He told the police that Maddy found the diary so he hid it in the barn and shot her for good measure. He didn't regret anything he did. He was a true psychopath. Someone I once loved was actually capable of murder. And not one but two murders.
But that wasn't the end of it. He also revealed himself as A. It was his addiction, his way of dealing with his guilt to push it onto us, he was getting ready to frame all of us for the murder of Alison Dilaurentis.
Turns out she was running from her own brother. Too bad he got her before she could get out of Rosewood for good.
I'm sitting on the steps outside the police station, waiting for my mum and my uncle to finish talking to the police about everything.
My friends join me, looking over the town we once called home.
"I got accepted into NYU." Melody said quietly. I smiled at her, we all did.
We were finally free to leave this town, we had solved the mystery of Alison Dilaurentis but there was still one mystery left to solve. Who killed my father?
I see Alison's mum coming towards the police station, she stops suddenly as she sees me and smiles sadly. She sits down next to us, and places her hand in mine.
"Thank you for finding out what happened to my daughter, I owe you Olivia." She says to me.
"No you don't, honestly you don't owe me a thing."
"But I do! My own son..." she couldn't finish her sentence. She looks firmly at the town in front of her. The perfect town for perfect families. Not so perfect anymore is it...
"You deserve to know Olivia. Your father was killed trying to save you."
"What?" I say, feeling my heart racing.
"The police have just told me. Jason killed him, your father knew what he did and Jason threatened your life. There was a struggle and your father lost."
I sigh deeply, my eyes squinting at the bright sun shining down on us.
"I'm so sorry dear." She says gripping my hand tightly.
I stand up releasing Mrs Dilaurentis' hand from mine and I slowly walk down the steps.
I know now that I can start to heal. I can start to put my life back together.
My friends join me by my side. I look at them and smile.
"I think it's time we left this town. Left all of this behind us. It's what Alison would've wanted." I say, feeling the comfort knowing my dead best friend would want us to move on with our lives.
We all link arms and have a group hug.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Dan riding on a motorbike. He stops next to me. And holds out a helmet towards me. "Want a ride?" He says smiling.
I look at my friends once more and take the helmet.
It's time I created my own happily ever after.
After all I deserve it after the hell I've been through.I place the helmet over my head and fasten the straps. Dan cups his hands over my face and leans in. I slide my arms around his neck and brush my lips against his. I feel instant sparks exploding within me and I smile at the feel of the kiss.
I push my body onto his and I can feel his heart pounding through his chest. I missed that feeling of safety, of love.
I pull away, brushing his hair out of his eyes and I gently kiss him on the cheek.
I climb onto the back of the motorbike, putting my hands tightly around his waist. We take off into the sunset, riding through town.
We pass the Rosewood sign and I don't look back for a second, knowing my future is waiting for me, far away from this place. A place I used to call home.
It will always be the place I grew up in, but I never belonged there. I long for adventure far away from Rosewood.
Leaving my past within the town behind me, I feel my body instantly relax and I smile, seeing the green meadows under the shimmering, bright blue sky.
I rest my head on my boyfriends shoulders and I close my eyes feeling the sun hitting my body and I feel a warm, glowing, hopeful feeling inside me. And I pray that it will never go away...
