Chapter 22: Blackmail

Days after the incident in the park, Robert finally returned to school. A lot of people have been asking about him which is weird because he's not all that popular. I was popular once. I think I still am but just for the wrong reasons. Nicole has been more paranoid around me. Well, not just around me but mostly everywhere she goes. Rihanna tried talking to Nicole because I couldn't get a word out of her. Rihanna volunteered, she said that Nicole and her are girls, she'll understand her more easily than I could. So far, she inspected that Nicole is hiding from someone, or we could say she's avoiding someone. She's been so cautious like she knows that something bad is gonna happen.

Rihanna also talked to Robert. You know, I'm kinda feeling useless. I want to help but I don't succeed. Sometimes, I even make things worse. I'm upset that they can open up to Rihanna and not to me. My own girlfriend didn't even trust me with it. Robert told Rihanna that he did something unacceptable to a person so he got what he deserved. Rihanna feels like Robert is protecting someone. My hypothesis is that someone is blackmailing and scaring Nicole and Robert was trying to help her best friend. I'm pretty sure now that they're dealing with the same person.

So, Rihanna talked to Robert and Nicole. She suggested that she'll talk to Jane and I'll talk to Marge because she said that I still have a soft spot on Marge. There's someone we haven't talked to yet. Noel. I'm not letting Rihanna talked to him and I also said that to Rihanna. She unwillingly agreed. She said that she could use Noel's feelings for her as an advantage. While I said to her that I'm not letting Noel take advantage of her.

Rihanna is actually with Jane right now. I don't know where they are but I know that they're together. Hopefully, this will make good sense soon. I'm not good with mysteries. I have no actually use for these kind of things. With Jane doing her task, I figured that I should talk to Marge. Please be cooperative, Marge. I need to know specifically what's going on. I've never been so desperate. I mean I was desperate to get Nicole before but not as much as I'm desperate right now to solve this.

"Zeke!" Before I even made a move to go to Marge, I heard Rihanna crying for me. I instantly held her tight. "What happened?" I asked her in a soothing voice. "Jane.. she's in the clinic. She passed out before I could even get to her." she cried in my arms. "Is the nurse taking care of her?" I asked. "Yeah, Zeke. I'm scared now. Jane is a good friend to me. First Robert, now Jane? who's next? Marge? You? Me?" she sobbed uncontrollably. "We'll figure this out. I know we will." I kissed her forehead.

"We need to look after Marge." I said and took Rihanna's hand. Marge was in the music room alone jamming with her guitar. "Marge!" Rihanna called out and ran to Marge to give her a big hug. "I'm so glad you're okay!" Rihanna continued to hug her. "Why? What happened?" she let go off her guitar and hugged Rihanna back. "Jane passed out. We think this had something to do with the person that beat up Robert." I answered for Rihanna. "Where's Jane right now?!" Marge stood up to her feet. "She's at the clinic. The nurse wont let anyone in."Rihanna said. "I have to see her." Marge clenched her fist. "Hey, relax. We'll get through this." I caressed her face. "How can I relax when my girlfr-" she stopped midsentence. "Girlfriend?" I looked at her with a confused expression. "You and Jane are dating?" Rihanna asked joing the coversation. Marge nodded. "But we're not yet out. You guys are the only people who know about us. Unless..." Marge's eyes widen in realization. "I'm gonna kill him." Marge stomped away from us. "Who's him? You know who's behind all these? please tell us." I pleaded. "I have to kill him first." Marge ran away.

"You think the guy blackmailed Jane about her relationship with Marge?" Rihanna asked me while we're chasing Marge. "That's what I thought too." I said and ran faster to catch up.

We are inside the clinic now. The nurse was so hard to negotiate with by the girls so I used some of my charm for her to let us in which worked. See? I'm not that useless anymore. Jane woke up minutes later after we arrived. Rihanna calmed Marge down a little bit but still hasn't talked about the guy who's behind this travesty. "Jane! You're awake! How are you feeling?" Marge asked her girlfriend worriedly. Jane saw Marge and a smile instantly formed on her face. "Feeling a little lightheaded but I'll be okay." Jane clasped Marge hands to assure her. "What did he do?" I asked out of curiosity. Jane looked at Marge questioningly. "I haven't told them yet." Marge shook her head. "But I told them about us." she confessed which caused her to blush. "Oh.. are you guys cool with it?" Jane asked looking embarrassed. "Of course." Rihanna and I answered in unison. They both smiled at us. "He sent a message to me with a picture attached of Marge and I were kissing. He also sent it to my parents." Jane broke down. "That basta-" "Marge no badwords." Rihanna cut off Marge. "Who's he?" I asked getting impatient. Jane and Marge looked at each other then nodded. "Noel." They both answered at the same time.
