Somehow I thought about my cousins - Sirius and Regulus. I know Voldemort recruited Regulus but Sirius stayed true to the Order of the Phoenix. Regulus chose the path every Black had to. Like Narcissa.
But Cissy did it to protect her husband, herself and her child. She had to choose the winning side because it was best for her family.
As far as I know Regulus did it also because it was the winning side and as all Purebloods thought, it was the right side.
Sirius had always been the black sheep, which I admired but also found extremely stupid. He never benefited from it. He picked Gryffindor and the whole family despised him from it, he disowned himself from his family. He chose his friend but where did that get him?
In Azkaban. Just like me. His friends dead. He was betrayed and punished for straying out of the path he had to take. Life doesn't like it when you do so.
Regulus on the other side picked the right path and again ended up dead so maybe, maybe life just didn't like the Black family. Not that we hadn't deserved it.
Dad was dead. Mum probably as well at this point. Andromeda was a coward. Just left us at the mercy of life. She was probably spitting on our names now. Cissy hopefully got away from the shit that fell all over the Black family. After all she was a Malfoy now.
Well, I am supposedly a Lestrange but no one believes that thrash.
Radolphus was also put under the Imperius curse because he was such an easy target. We married just for show. For the amusement of the Great Lord of Death and Darkness.
He whispered before my grand wedding that he did it so that no one called me his whore. But it never stopped anyone.
So Regulus is also dead. And Sirius is no better than I am. Probably about as mad as me.
Do you see what you did, can you see what you did to me? To my family?
"I am certainly not to be blamed for the death of your parents, Regulus did it himself by turning against me."
He turned against you? He was loyal.
"About as much as you were but he was better at hiding his thoughts, that was your weakness and now you are paying for it."
