Stretching I open my eyes to the soft sunlight poring through the drapes. I briefly remembered the events of the night before. I shuddered and pushed it to the back of my mind vowing to pretend it never happened. It was none of my business who Slade got jiggly with, I'd have just prefer if I didn't have to witness it... Well heard it.. Sitting up I noticed a pot of medication. I read the side of the pot. It said 'TAKE TWO TABLETS THREE TIMES A DAY WITH FOOD'.
I huffed, realising I'd have to get out of bed. I walked over to Slade's wardrobe for my OOTD. I really needed some clothes of my own. I picked out an oversized t shirt that would have been big on Slade. On me it was a dress. Just to be safe I added some shorts underneath. I tided my hair up in a bun, brushed my teeth and carefully washed my face, very cautiously around the small cuts on my face that were already healing.
With that I headed out the room, down the hall and down the grand stair case. I passed a crowd of men talking at the bottom of the stairs. They stopped and stared. I shot them a quick smile before shuffling my way to the kitchen. There in the kitchen I was faced with Danny. I scowled and thought about turning around and crawling back under the covers where the world seemed kinder. Defiantly, I strutted towards the cupboard looking for some cereal... Only to realise I didn't have a clue where anything was. Fumbling, I opened several doors peering in hoping to see something suitable for breakfast. Danny came round to the right of me, opened a higher cupboard and handed me some coco pops.I was conflicted whether to take it, however my dislike for Danny was less than my drive for food. Snatching it out of his hand I grumbled. "What a stupid place to put it." Before I had the chance to look for anything else, Danny placed a bowl, spoon and some milk on the counter.
"Why are you being nice to me?" I narrowed my eyes at him. He sighed. "Look Adele, I'm really sorry, I know I was a shit thing for me to do and I wish that wasn't how we met, but it was. Can't we be mates? Please, I seems like you need one." He was right. I didn't exactly have a long list of people I could rely on.
"Alright... I suppose." An infectious smile filled his face which spread to mine. "On one condition." I waggled my finger at him. "You go to my house and get me some of my clothes. Some none... man clothes." He laughed. "I dunno, it kinda suits you. I tell you what I'll do one better I'll take you shopping for new clothes!"
"Deal!" We sat down next to each other, chatting away as I asked Danny about himself and his life."Hey." A tired and topless Slade went and took some apple juice out of the fridge. My cheeks flushed remembering the happenings of last night. "You alright?" I looked up to Slade staring at me. I nodded fervently and carried on stuffing my face with coco pops. The click-clack of heels brought my attention up from the chocolatey goodness to a beautiful girl in a form fitting purple dress. She had gorgeously clear caramel skin and chocolatey eyes. She smiled showing off her perfectly straight white teeth. This girl was stunning. "Hi Laura, this is Adele." Danny gestured towards me. I waved, assuming this was the girl Slade was with last night. "Hi guys, nice to meet you Adele."
She swayed her way over to Slade. "Can I talk to you? About last night. I just would appreciate if you didn't tell anyone" Slade lent against the fridge. "Not that I'd kiss and tell, but why?" She combed her long sparkly nails through her hair. "Because I'm gunna try and make it work with Honey, she means a lot to me, this was just... A fun mistake." He sniggered. "I get it, and don't worry I won't tell your dad about Honey either."
"Thank babe, I'll text you later." She kissed him on the cheek. "See you later Danny, it was nice to meet you Adele, we should hang out sometimes." I smiled. "Yeah, that would be nice, see you later." Even though I was for some reason jealous of her over Slade and envied her beauty, she seemed to nice to resent her.******
"Right lets go." Danny called out to me. I zipped up the ill-fitting jeans that Danny had borrowed from his cousin. It would do for now. Just as I was about to walk out of the bedroom door I bumped into Slade. "Hey El, where you going?" I moved around him and out of the door. "I'm just going shopping with Danny. I need some clothes." He pouted. "Shame, I liked you in my clothes, here take some money and buy yourself a nice dress." I looked up at him confused. "What for?"
"You are coming with me to a party, tonight, get something pretty, maybe a little sexy." I hid a smile. "Ok well I'll see you later." He placed a small role of £50's in my fist. I gasped. "Maybe I'll buy some make up too" I giggled and skipped off before he could change his mind.***********

Hi guys! Exams all done so I thought I'd celebrate with a chapter. I was kinda fed up that with every story I read, any other female competition for a man was portrayed as a bitch and a horrible person, so I thought I'd try and change it up a bit.
I really appreciate any and all support I get from my readers it makes me feel wonderful and really motivates me. So if you do enjoy the ramblings that come out of my brain please let me know!
