Chico watched his little wife, drying the counters with a cloth. When he was an oblivious kid, He expected that he would have ended up with his first crush. Even after grieving over her death, he would have never expected to marry a different, but adorable little nerd, who talked about UMAs like him. He looked back at when he was 21 years old. With all the horrors that he witnessed, he thought that he could never be happy again, until the little ginger was brought into his life. Even after her first kill, she didn't stop seeing him. After they reunited, she wanted to go to mother base with him to take photos. It didn't take him long to see that she was falling in love with him. He realized that he had deep feelings for her as well, but he couldn't have her. He had little confidence in his physical damages from the helicopter incident. Not only did he think that he was ugly, but he was unable to kiss her. She felt so young to him, so he would have rather waited until she was at the age of consent. He was still grieving over Paz's death, his first crush. And something that made him feel sadder was that she was a virgin, while he, on the other hand, was forced to give it away. It was not his fault at all, but it felt wrong to him, even when it was supposedly common for one person or both in a relationship to not be.
Now Penelope has the wedding ring that he proposed her with last year. He has never felt so lucky in his life to be married to her.
The photos of Penelope and Chico at their wedding and some of the other places that they explored always brought warmth to his heart, especially Penelope.
He looked back at his wife and realized how much she has changed since they first met. The only things that has not changed much was the fact that she still wears pink somewhere around her body. Her exited, quirky energy has never left all of those years, but she feels a bit more organized now. Her odd accent from the outback has never faded away, but they can have a conversation In Spanish now; which also makes him happy that she learned his native tongue for him. Her autism was still not very noticeable, but he can see the symptoms from time to time. She used to be pretty fairly weak and a bit slow when it came to physical defense, but know she could easily apply to the military if she wanted. Her wavy red hair was a lot longer, but it went down to her shoulders. She began wearing eye contacts more often to show off her dark Hazel eyes. He still loves her with glasses, but when her glasses were off, she goes from cute little girl to a goddess.
