So since I'm still struggling with my fanfic, I have this idea that will take place somewhere in the future of it. This is part of an important event in the story and this effects how Penelope treats Chico a bit. No matter what, she always remains very Loyal to him. These are mostly just notes, so this might sound really fucking confusing. Gimme some critique plz! It helps :> enjoy 👌🏻👌🏻
Penelope and Chico were sitting on a couple of crates. She was still new with locations, so she was not exactly sure where they were. Not many people were in sight, so this slightly unsettled her. The only thing that kept her from becoming more anxious was her trust in Chico.
She couldn't believe he felt the same way. It brought warmth to her heart, and the more that she thought about it, the funnier feelings that she had felt. Her innocent little crush on him began to go deeper every moment. Like something was squeezing her heart, while a flaming match was under the organ.
She questioned to herself if it was even okay. Chico did not axactly confirm if they were dating. He really just said that he had feelings for her too.
Weather he was comfortable being her boyfriend or not, he treated her like an actual girlfriend. Unlike her ex. Since Chico was her second boyfriend, she was still not very well experienced when dating someone. She can still be very oblivious when someone is hitting on her.
The breeze wasn't helping Penelope as much either. Inhaling the cold air couldn't even cool down the feeling. She decided that she could put her focus on Chico in attempt to solve the mystery.
Penelope began to study him. She remembered that they had a 5 year age gap, but did it really bother him? He would have at least added that he would have wanted to wait until she was at the age of consent, too.
The first thing that she focused on was his hair. His hair used to be a bit shaggy, but there was something that she also admired about his new hair cut as well. His hair would slightly stand up almost like spikes. She found it kind of radical in a way. His shorter hair let her focus more on his eyes. The stress that she noticed ,when she first met him, seemed to begin dying as he looked more relaxed to her.
The silence was kind of relaxing, at least for Chico, but Penelope grew more desperate as it continued. Her eyes shifted down at the balaclava. The black mask-like thing that covered his scars. Seeing his scars before, never once, has she thought that he was ugly. His scars really didn't effect her attraction to him at all. She felt bad that he had them, as she could imagine the struggles of eating and keeping his teeth clean. Her friends would judge the shit out of her to no end for admitting that she found Chico really handsome.
Penelope looked down at the outline of his lips. Before thinking about how offensive she might have came across, her curiosity got the best of her.
"Hey Chico. I just realized that...that we haven't kissed yet."
Chico's eyes began to focus onto her. It took her a moment to notice that his eyes mostly seemed to be paying attention to the purple floral patterns on her sarong.
"Yeah... I know, not a lot of pink this time." She chuckled a bit. "Except for my glasses. These are a spare. I just don't wear them as much only because a friend of mine found them tacky."
When Chico's eyes shifted to hers, she noticed the pinkish colors in his cheeks. He was blushing.
"Well...I think you look cute with them..."
Penelope smiled. That was the most romantic thing that he has ever said to her.
"Well thank you."
Chico looked down at his twiddling thumbs. It was obvious that he was feeling slightly shyer today. More than she can be. But none the less, his obvious feelings for her made her continue to grin.
While he wasn't paying attention, the short Aussie moved closer to him and extended herself a bit to peck his cheekbone. She relaxed on his shoulder as she held his upper arm.
'Did she hope that I would forget?.' Chico thought to himself. He wasn't angry at her for what she said, but it make him feel bad. He doubted that his lips would even be a little comfortable to touch. His bottom lip slightly spreader away from his teeth, but that part didn't bother him as much as his upper lip. He had to force himself a bit to close his lips together.
His facial muscles were still functional enough for him to smile through the balaclava, but that would look terrifying.
While Penelope wasn't paying attention, Chico grew the balls to tug his mask away from his face. He gave a quick smooch on top of Penelope's forehead. The smell of strawberries, from her hair, made him never want to leave her head.
