I blinked due to the bright light. A familiar face smiled down at me. "I was wondering when you'd get here." Laurance chuckled, helping me up. I began to cry, burying my face against him. "I missed you so much..." I whimpered. "I missed you too Lucy. But you did the right thing. I never once stopped loving you. I've waited for you. I watched everything you all did. Everything. The kids are good people. You and the others raised them well." He smiled. "Fern was proud to have you as her father." I sighed. "I know." Laurance kissed me as I cried tears of joy. "I would never forget you. It might not have been perfect, but our time together, was paradise."
