Weeks went by as they all carried on living their lives just as normal. They still had dinner together every Friday, the girls watching the Little mermaid and singing along.It was as if Josh had just visited the once,and his intentions of coming back for his daughter had suddenly just been dropped. However,even though it had been almost two months since the aggressive man made his appearance, Rebecca couldn't stop thinking about the awful scene. She played it in her head over and over haunted by the thought of him hurting her child. Many sleepless nights were spent lying in her bed worrying about her child's safety and checking on her every hour just to make sure she was okay.
Lanas POV
10:30am
"Have you had no sleep again?" I ask the red head giving her a look as she was sipping another cup of coffee her eyes bloodshot. "I just can't Lan, I need to know my daughter is safe, and right now there is a man out there who knows where we are and is threatening to take her from me" she expresses her voice almost breaking as she struggles to keep together. "Hey...hey..you have an incredible husband to keep you safe while I'm not here,and you know I'll always be here for you no matter what happens, trust me no body is going to touch her" I say placing my hand on her cheek. "Thank you Lana, I don't know where I'd be without you" she expresses affectionately. Both women finished there drinks just as the boys entered the kitchen wearing unusual hats and carrying fishing rods. "What earth are you doing" Bex asks with a giggle clearly amused by the sight of them. "Our fishing trip, isn't that obvious" Marc answers sarcastically giving her a look. "Oh is that today? I completely forgot" she tells him. "Well we're just setting off, bye girls" Fred states after kissing me and saying goodbye. "Bye"I called as both men walked towards the door carrying heavy camping bags. "Love you" they both shouted before they shut the door. "Love you too" me and my best friend replied to both of our husbands.
"Hey since the boys have gone on a camping trip, why don't you and Lana just stay here and you,me and the girls can have a girly weekend" I ask her excitement in my eyes. "Yes that would be great" she replies clapping her hands.
12:00pm
"Okay do we have everything we need?" I ask placing a huge bag of popcorn into the shopping cart. "Errm I think so, lets se we have: popcorn, movies, face masks, nail polish and ice cream, yeh I think we're all set" the redhead states as we both make our way to the checkout.
"This is going to be so much fun" I say excitedly. "I know, much better than that awful camping trip, why be in the cold sleeping on the floor in the middle of nowhere?" She asks not understanding how the boys find this fun. "Oh it's part of there manly hood or whatever" i says giggling. "Well I'd take this over that any day" she tells me packing the stuff into the bags as the shop assistant scans them. "So would I, a fun night with my daughters and my best friend I couldn't possible want to do anything else" I state.
6:00pm
"Mommy can you paint my nails now?" Charlotte asks as Sophia shows hers off to the there two. "Of course sweetie, why don't you ask auntie Bex to do them for you while i do Lanas" I say smiling. "Oh it would be an honour to do your nails princess Charlotte" Bex pipes up bowing before her. Charlotte laughs amused by Bexs acting. "And what colour would you like your highness?" She asks in a posh British accent. "Pink please" she replies still giggling. "Very good choice, matches your dress" she replies taking the pink from the bag. "There you go baby" Lana says as she finishes the smaller Lanas finger nails. "Thank you" she expresses admiring them with a smile from ear to ear. "So what are we going to do now?" Sophia asks twirling around in her huge blue dress covered in glitter. "We could go watch a movie?" Bex suggests paining the last couple of Charlotte's nails. "How about the little mermaid?" Bexs daughter asks. "Actually girls I brought a new movie" Lana interrupts them pulling out the Disney movie tangled. "It's about a girl who is locked in a tower for 18 years and has magic hair that glows" Lana says trying to encourage them to watch another movie other than their favourite. "Is there singing?" Sophia questions. "Yes and the songs are amazing, you wanna give it a go" bex asks anxiously hoping they would like it. "Okay" they all say in unison. We both breath a sigh of relief as I insert it into the DVD player as the girls settle on the sofa. After the movie had finished,the girls could hardly keep their eyes open their heads resting on my shoulder and on Bexs lap. "Come on girls let's take you to bed" I say not knowing if they were sleeping or not. After me and bex had took them to bed we also both decided to try and get some sleep. "Goodnight Lana" my best friend says hugging me. "Good night" I say into her hair and embracing for a couple of seconds. After we separated, I strolled into my bedroom,collapsed into the sheets and almost instantly fell asleep.
After being asleep for what I assume is a couple of hours I hear somebody entering my room. Opening my eyes I see a weary looking bex making her way towards me. "Hey" she says climbing into the bed next to me". "What's up?" I ask her, wondering why she has come into my room at this late hour."I can't sleep, I was just thinking about what an amazing time we all had and what an amazing life I have, and I then I started worrying about what if I can never have that again and and" she panics her voice quickening, tears sliding down her face. "Hey slow down, come here" I say pulling her into a hug and placing my hand on her head it buried into my chest. "He just gets in my head" she sobs shaking clinging onto me. "Bex..bex..calm down okay? I hate to see you like this" I tell her. "Just don't ever leave me okay?" She asks as if she's worried she's going to be alone again. "No matter what I promise you I'll never leave your side as long as you want me to, I'll be here okay?" I ask as she calms down a little her head still tightly against me. "Okay" she says the tears turning into small sniffles. Soon enough bex drifted off In my arms and finally got some much needed rest after all those sleepless nights.
