A medic sat me down and started examining my face. I was fine. I knew I was. I had to run to Shawn, because the officer was putting him in the car "Excuse me officer!" I called out, causing the officer and everyone recording to freeze
"Ma'am back away!" the officer called as I got closer
"You didn't get his side of the story." I said, nearly stepping on the officer's shoes
"Fine. What happened?" the officer pulled out a notepad and pen
"That man in there is drunk. He started harassing me and my daughter. Then he slapped me and Sh-he beat the doof." I said with Marci's arms still wrapped around my legs.
"I witnessed this man punching the other, but if the other man is drunk and others cofirm your statement. Then he will be free." the officer said. They quickly found out that Shawn had just punched the man and uncuffed him.
3 Hours Later
I walked upstairs and plopped down on my bed. This was the perfect time for me to get a text from Nicole, but I blocked her.
Unknown number: Plz say this is Sky!!
Me: Yes, who is this?
Unknown number: it's ur BFFE Katy!
I quickly went into my contacts and changed the number I had for her.
Me: Sssuuupp?
Katy: finally got out of that prep school in Virginia. Arriving in Canada 2morrow!!
Me: Yayyyy!!
Now I finally have a friend so now I don't have to mope about that. I suddenly felt the bed sink down
"You still texting Nicole?" Shawn asked
"No. I blocked her." I said while sitting my phone down.
"Then who were you texting?" He asked while wrapping his muscular arm around my waist
"Katy."
"Who? And why?"
"She's my best friend. I've been feeling like I haven't had any friends lately." I confessed
"What are you talking about? I'm your best friend!" He laughed which caused me to smile. He isn't wrong though he is my best friend, he has been since I first met him.
The Next Day
I walked over to my phone and saw that I had a text that I didn't read yet.
Katy: can we meet up at Starbucks?
Me: sure what time?
I walked around my room and found some nice clothes to wear.
Katy: in 10 minutes. Is that ok?
Me: sure
I grabbed my phone and walked outside, I live five minutes away from Starbucks. I wanted to beat Katy to Starbucks. I hopped in my car and drove to Starbucks; once I got there I parked my car and quickly walked in.
The line wasn't long, there was only one girl in front of me
"Yes I'll have a frapaccino with cream please. Thank you." She said as her long brown wavy hair bounced then she moved to the side so I could order. "I'll have a hot chocolate and a chocolate chip muffin. Thanks." I said as I paid and stood behind the girl who was in front of me earlier then I got a text
Shawn: where r u?
I forgot to tell him I was going to Starbucks with Katy.
Me: Starbucks w/ Katy.
"Boyfriend trouble?" The girl said "Actually Husband." I replied
"You look familiar." I said, because well she did
"You too!" She exclaimed "I'm Lauren and I remember where I know you from! Your daughter won the golden buzzer on AGT." She squealed as I thought about where I knew her from.
"Maybe I knew you with your boyfriend?" I mumbled
"I don't have one anymore, but I did have one. He was so kind and then one day he went on tour." She grabbed her frapaccino and motioned for a table as I grabbed my order and sat down.
"What happened after he went on tour?" I asked being my nosy self
"I couldn't stand being alone all the time so I called it off, but I guess he never got the text." She said leaving me to say
"Oh." then she continued
"He came back from tour. He showed up to my door with roses and saw my new boyfriend. God I don't think I'll ever forgive myself for ripping out Shawn Mendes' heart." She said then she had to leave and the seat that she sat in was replaced with Katy.
"So how's it going my sista from another mista?" She asked while taking a seat
"Hey. I'm fine thanks." I said plainly "So did you get married yet?" She asked and I didn't answer "Skylar Hamilton!" She yelled causing me to look down "Sky I have a kid." She whispered as my head shot up "What?!" I whispered
"M'kay now that I have your attention. You know Nash Grier?" She asked as I nodded "He visited Virginia and ran into me and two years and five days later we got married!" She squealed
"Mmhmmh." I responded
"Did you hear me Skylar Lorane Hamilton? I married Nash Grier! He was a Magcon boy the ones that we fell for and fan girled over!" She screamed
"You married Nash?" I asked as she leaned forward and asked
"Who did you marry?" I took a deep breath
"First I have three daughters and who did I marry?" I swallowed hard
"Yes who?" She got all giddy
"You remember our favorite singer?" I asked hoping she would get it.
"Big Time Rush, Taylor Swift, or Ed Sheeran?" She asked
"Noo! Shawn Mendes!" I whined
"Oh yeah what about him?" She asked "I married him." I looked down "What?! You Skylar Mrs. 'I'll never have a boyfriend in my entire life' married Shawn Peter Raul Mendes?!" She laughed as I leaned back
"Yeah." I said then I shot forward "What?!" Katy said seeing as I had scared her
"You should come to my house we have a guest room you can sleep in!" I exclaimed
"I should settled into my house tonight." She huffed
"Please just so you can catch up on your sleep." I said as she finally caved in.
