We've Got Competition

I walked into the living room and saw the girls rewinding whatever they were watching on t.v.
"Mum sit down and watch this!" Melody said while patting the cushion on the couch near her. It was a commercial about singing then the announcer came on and he said: "If you and three friends over the age of 18 think you got what it takes then come on over to Seattle, Washington and sing a song for three judges. If you win you and your three friends will get $100,000 and a chance to get signed to Island Records." all of the girls looked at me
"You guys can't do that. You're too young. Melody, Naomi your only twelve." I said while getting up
"Not us. You!" Naomi said as my eyes grew wide
"Why would you think that I would want to do that?" I asked while sitting back down
"Because. Daddy says you sing really amazingly and mum-mum says you almost got signed to Island Records like three different times. Plus this could be a fun girl day that you can have with your friends from high school!" the girls seemed really happy and I didn't want to disappoint them. "Okay when do I have to be in Seattle?" I asked as they got the biggest grins on their faces
"In five days." Melody smiled
"Oh my Lord! I gotta go upstairs and call all of my friends, then I gotta pack, and pick out our song! Oh my God!" I screamed while running upstairs and the girls laughed at me.
I quickly called my friends. I went through ten of my friends before I finally got an answer.
"Hello?" I asked as I waited for a response
"I'm sorry I just woke up. Who is this?" my friend obviously didn't check her caller ID
"Yeah this is Skylar Mendes. Is this Stella Johnson?" I asked
"Uh I don't know a Skylar Mendes and I'm not Stella Johnson anymore." She said as I sat confused
"I'm Sky Hamilton or at least I used to be but I got married to our favorite singer Shawn Mendes." I said as she gasped
"Sky? Wait how do I know it's you. She would've told me if she married Shawn Mendes. If it is you then what is my favorite Shawn Mendes song?" She asked as I immediately answered "Treat You Better." She gasped again "Sky! Why didn't you tell me you married Shawn?" She asked
"Who did you marry?" I asked her as she let out a little squeal
"Hayes Grier!" I had a moment of realization
"As in Nash Grier's brother? As in Magcon? As in Hollywood Days With Hayes?" We both laughed "Could you get Nicole and Ivory in a group text? I want to know if we want to go to Seattle, Washington for a singing competition, but I can't do it without you three." I as she agreed to ask them "Who did Nicole marry?" She asked "Cameron Dallas. Who did Ivory marry?" I asked
"She married Matt Espinosa." She said as I laughed
"What?"
"We all married Magcon guys!" I continued to laugh until we hung up.
1 Hour Later
Shawn has entered our room at least ten times without saying a word. I wonder what he was doing since he never grabbed anything. He just walked in, looked at me for a few seconds then walked back out. I was just about to ask him what he was doing when I was snapped out of my thoughts.
Stella: so hyped 4 Seattle competition

Me: did u ask the
others 2 come

Nicole: ya she did

Nicole: we're going 2 win this thang

Nicole: what bout Katy? Isn't she coming?

Stella: look out Seattle

I immediately started packing; just so I wouldn't forget anything. I had to pick out the perfect outfit then it dawned on me. We have to wear matching outfits for the competition, somethingthat makes us stand out. I raided my closet for a dress then I found it my little black lace dress that Shawn bought me.

Me: guess that
means we'll go
shopping when we
get 2 Seattle.

Stella: yeah I could use a new dress.

I packed my clothes then I threw in the bare minimum of my makeup: eye shadow, mascara, lipstick, blush, foundation, and concealer. I decided to pack things like my phone, phone charger, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, and jacket right before I went to the airport. I went downstairs "Mum you were up there for a while." Marci said as I joined them on the couch "Yeah I had to call my friends then I packed." I said as I felt hands on my shoulders "What are you packing for?" He asked "What were you doing in our room?" I asked as he jumped over the couch and sat beside me "I was looking for Sox. I was going to ask you if you knew where Sox was, but I saw you on your phone." He said "Mum's going to Seattle with some of her friends to-" melody started then saw me telling her to stop talking. "What friends are you taking?" He asked "Stella, Ivory, and Nicole." I said "Oh nevermind." He said "What?" I asked "Aren't all of them pretty good singers?" He asked "Yes." I said.
