Jiji pov

Having no idea what had happened the night before, I woke up with a pounding headache.

My hand went to my temples, slowly massaging them, hoping to ease the pain.

After my senses woke up too, I realised I smelled like alcohol.
My own behaviour shocked me.
I hated drinking, not to mention my body couldn't stand even one shot.

All of a sudden someone behind me squirmed, pushing me off from whatever uncomfortable position I was sitting in on the car seat.

"YA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" his morning husky voice greeted me politely.

I gave him a death glare which could've frozen a stove and Hoseok received it with a serious annoyed look.

"Anyways we need to leave soon wake the others up" he ordered getting out of Jin's car, opening the door and stretching.

We quickly picked up the trash, collected our things and left before it was too late in the afternoon.

"Hyung I'm sleepy" Taehyung leaned his head on Yoongi's shoulder.

"I'm hungry" meanwhile Jungkook, beside me complained to Namjoon and he answered to wait till we got back.

Jimin was lost in a daze as he tried to regain memories of what he did last night. On the other hand Hoseok was sitting beside Jin, who was driving, with a stern face, unusual of him.

The atmosphere was overall weird and too silent for them but I decided to ignore it.

My thoughts were only about that girl that was trying to threat the members even though she was supposed to have me as target.
Worst of all, I couldn't warn them about it.

"Jiji is anything wrong" Namjoon questioned once we exited the car.
"You've... had a terrible look these days" he explained. "If there's anything you can talk with us about it"

Yea, I really wanted to talk about it but him pointing that made me feel a lump in my throat.

Not in front of him.

I shook my head and wanted to hurry to my room when he grabbed my wrist with an understanding look.
"Tell me"

I declined his kind offer but then again he repeated himself.
"Tell me." Namjoon paused. "It's not easy to be by an idol's side right?"

His gaze was always soft and penetrating but distant.

'I don't know' I wrote on a note, sighing. I really believed I could've spilled about a sasaeng after them but at the last moment I remade my mind.
'I'm just unwell these days that's all'

The boy slowly let go, seeing I wasn't intentioned of opening up.
"Hm ok" he nodded walking away, which kind of hurt me a lot.

Unexpectedly or rather expectedly my phone buzzed.

Unknown: your time is coming to an end.

A few days passed after that, what I would call, last warning.
Nothing really happened. That crazy girl didn't show up and I thought I was finally free.
I decided to not mention it to the boys at all because it would've just made them worry uselessly, so I let it pass as a while of recovering from old memories.
Nothing happened in the dorm life either, except for that Hoseok had been extremely sceptical with me, along with a little bit of meanness but I believed it was not a good period for him either but it did shatter my heart into pieces. We wouldn't even talk so often anymore and I wondered if he still felt something, or anything at all.

Until one evening when she showed up again to mess up the calm course of the things.

Unknown: you know I've made up my mind. I might choose Hobi instead

I was at the table eating dinner with everyone when I read that and choked on whatever I was chewing.

"Oh my god are you ok" Jimin beside me patted my back as Jin passed me a glass of water.

"What happened so suddenly" Hoseok questioned with a suspected tone.

My phone was near me, left unlocked and when it buzzed another once Hoseok read the message too.

Unknown: well well tryna act up huh meet me outside if you wanna save him then

For a split second we made eye contact and it was as if I saw his heart break, at the same time his rage burn in flames.
I realized he understood everything when he got up, hurrying to meet this person he didn't even know.
Hoseok, out of everyone really needed to be the one to go out alone in this moment, so I immediately got up from my chair too, following him out after, as fast as I could.

As soon as I stepped out, I noticed the unusual pitch dark sky.

And lowering my eyes, saw Hoseok ran to the middle of the street but suddenly he stopped, looking at a car reaching up to him really fast.

Why did he stop.

No. No. No.

At that point my body moved automatically, I didn't even know what I was doing. Just, I felt my legs move incredibly quick and all my body weight used to push him away.

Faint voices woke me up from my deep slumber.
I slowly opened my eyes to see no one.

Just the pale ceiling of my room and the familiar scent of my apartment.

Wait

I jolted up from my bed and looked carefully around in search of anything.

No

I checked the time and it was 3 am precise.
My first thought was to feel if I was still wearing the chain, and no I wasn't.
Something inside me was desperately trying to convince me it wasn't real.
I forced myself down, turned the lights on and went to search in my wardrobe if I conserved Hoseok's gifts.

There wasn't any.

So my last hope was my phone.

I brought it out from under the pillow. It was the old one. But I didn't give up and went in the chats.

There wasn't his number.

Only then I fully convinced myself it was all a dream.
