Jennifire woke up bright and early. She was used to it now, because the witches insisted on it. They had been there for about two months now, training. Holly was very worried. She didn't want to stay too long, because Cyrus could be anywhere doing anything. But the witches promised today would be their last day.

Holly and Alyssa were up, each holding a backpack and filling them with food and clothing. Jesse was still sleeping in the bed beneath Jennifire, mumbling something about cats.

"Are you stealing that stuff?" Jennifire asked, hopping off the top bunk and making her way over to Holly and Alyssa.
"No," Holly replied. "Fernanda insisted we each take a backpack with food and fresh clothing."

Alyssa tossed Jennifire a pink backpack. She slightly skipped to her dresser, which had fruits and cans of frosting on top.
Jennifire started stuffing stuff in her bag, recalling everything that had happened. The witches helped the four sisters with their powers, and they became great friends. Jennifire was glad they could help with Jesse, especially.

Jesse woke up to something hard and heavy landing on her stomach. She thought it was Violet the cat and pushed it off screaming "Stupid cat!"
But it was actually a green backpack that Jennifire had thrown on her.

Usually, that would get Jesse angered to the point where the smallest movement would make her full on Violet. But now Jesse was unable to become Violet by herself. The witches had made it only possible if Holly said Code Purple, it was cheesy but it worked. From there, Jesse was in complete control of Violet. Except for the fact that she was always as angry as Violet, but Jesse didn't mind.

She stood up and grabbed her bag, slightly hitting Jennifire while doing so. All Jennifire did was giggle. The four made their way to the kitchen. Marialin was making breakfast, which made Jesse nervous.

Marialin was nice, she was just a bit... crazy. But today she was quiet. She was acting like her sister Fernanda, quiet and shy.

Jesse decided to ignore her and turned her attention to Holly and Alyssa. Ever since their second day here, they've been whispering to each other an looking at the sky. Jesse and Jennifire both couldn't see anything, so they just watched making fun of them behind their backs.

Fernanda and Evelynia walked in looking equally sad. Evelynia gave them all an uncertain smile, but Fernanda didn't even look at them. She just sat at the table and started rubbing Violets ears.

Jesse was so confused about why her usually happy friends were so glum, she barley noticed her cat arch nemesis, or where she even came from.
•••~•••
Holly eagerly and hastily ate all her breakfast. She wanted to go straight to Cyrus's lair. She barely noticed that everyone had been discussing something until she heard her name. Holly looked up from her now empty plate at everybody's concerned faces.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" She asked, now embarrassed.

"How are you going to get to him?" Fernanda asked. "We know you've been trained and prepared for this, but Alyssa says that going to his lair will be much harder now."

Holly mentally kicked herself. Of course they couldn't go to his lair! So what were they going to do?

"Um... well..." Holly mumbled.

"Let's go see mommy!" Jennifire stood up, and started hugging the witches goodbye. She then grabbed her bag and stood by the backdoor, waiting for her sisters. "She wants us now."

Holly stood up, instantly understanding. Jennifire and their mother had a telepathic connection. Not where they could just talk to each other with their minds, but if something really urgent is happening, their mom could call them home with just her thoughts. Jesse and Alyssa reluctantly stood up and the three said their goodbyes to the witches. Then Jennifire grabbed Holly's hand and ran out the back door, Jesse and Alyssa close behind.

Holly was surprised how quickly her sister could navigate through the forest to get them to the field where they had met the ice dragon. Jesse tightly closed her eyes and squeezed Alyssa's hand. Alyssa looked heartbroken as well, she never got to meet her grandparents.

Jennifire this time grabbed Jesse's hand and began pulling her, Jesse not letting go of Alyssa. Holly just sighed and ran up to her sisters.

After a good fifteen minutes, they reached the big red house. Holly sighed in relief, it was still the same. Reindeer wandering around in a gated area, decorated Christmas trees sitting the yard, and holly -the plant- hanging on each window.

Jennifire squealed and ran in through the backdoor, followed by an eager Holly and exited Jesse. But Alyssa stood in the backyard.
•••~•••
Alyssa stood, unsure of what to do. Her mother was inside. But Alyssa knew if she went inside, it would be a disaster. She recalled the cold words Cyrus had spoken to her the night before she escaped.

"You will hurt them,"
"Who?" Alyssa asked, scared and unsure.
"The ones dearest to you. You will bring death and destruction to their home. You'll be alone once again," He laughed and left her alone.

Alyssa shivered. She could just run away now, but decided that she wouldn't let him get to her. She'll make sure nothing happens.

Alyssa walked into the house, immediately being hit by the scent of baking cookies and being full of warmth by a fireplace heating the home. Alyssa smiled. Maybe, when this was all over, this could her life.

"Alyssa!" Jesse called. Alyssa walked to where the girls were standing. They were all in an elevator. Jesse pulled her in before the doors closed.

"You have an elevator in your house?" Alyssa exclaimed.
"The elves have trouble with the stairs," Jennifire answered casually, as if it was a question asked everyday.

The doors opened to show a workshop full of toys an paints and, well, anything that you would find in Santa's Workshop. Alyssa stared, amazed.

"C'mon," Holly grabbed her hand and pulled Alyssa, followed by Jesse and Jennifire, into a room. It had flowers of all sorts blooming everywhere with a fountain of water beside a bed. And, one of the most beautiful woman Alyssa had ever seen.

She had long blond hair, with hints of brown here an there, pulled up into a bun like Jennifire. Her eyes were a sparkly blue-green, and she was about as tan as Alyssa. She was a combination of all her daughter's.

But she looked very angry.
