Alyssa's vision was back. She could see normally now,
and all the visions were gone. She was walking around the workshop, and had subconsciously grabbed Jesse's hand.

Alyssa still wasn't able to control where she was walking, which was bad because she was walking into a room
that was dark. She turned her eyes to look at
Jesse, who's eyes were glassy.

Maybe she's having visions too, Alyssa thought. But that was bad because they were walking into the room.

Alyssa frantically tried to run back, or even open her mouth to say something, but she couldn't move anything but her eyes, and she wasn't in control of her legs. Alyssa was mentally screaming. They were in the room now. And after
only a few seconds, she felt herself falling.

Holly and Jennifire had searched the entire house,
and they couldn't find their father anywhere.

"Ugh!" Holly cried out in frustration. "Where is he?"

"Maybe he went out to buy cookies," Jennifire suggested.

"Jenni," Holly turned to look at her sister. Jennifire was atop a counter looking through their mothers cookie jars. "We have enough cookies to survive five zombie apocalypse's. He didn't go out to buy cookies."

"I think he did," Jennifire insisted. "None of
these have a single crumb!"

Holly walked over to the kitchen cupboards her sister was looking through. Their mother loved baking so much,
it was pretty much her job. So naturally they had
many cookie jars always full of cookies.

Except Jennifire was right. The two sisters were searching
all the cupboards and cabinets, and it wasn't only the
cookies that were missing. There wasn't a single
trace of any baked good anywhere.

"Maybe..." Jennifire stammered. "Maybe the elves-"

Before Jennifire could finish her thought, a siren alarmed throughout the house.

"Oh no!" Both girls exclaimed in unison, running
toward the basement, taking the stairs.
•••~•••
Jesse opened her eyes, her visions of wars and random history over. All she could see was nothing. It was pitch
black everywhere. Or maybe bright white, but she
decided not to think about it.

She could feel her right hand holding another hand, but she couldn't see anybody. Jesse then did something that she hoped she would never have to do again. She cried. She didn't care if she was being loud, or if a thousand invisible people could see her.

It had felt like hours before Jesse heard a noise.
"H-Hello?" She stuttered.

"Hey," she heard a voice.

"Alyssa?" Jesse cried out with relief.

"Yeah, are you ok? You've been crying for
the past few minutes."

Jesse smiled. She was ok now, but not completely fine. Jesse and Alyssa started to discuss their visions. The only
thing they both had seen was Syra. Well, her as a
fifteen year old girl anyways.

Jesse couldn't believe that Syra had looked like Cyrus. That would mean that she would have to
possibly be somehow related to him.
Could he be... No! Jesse thought, disgusted by the thought.

She suddenly felt the felt odd in her stomach, like
how you feel when your falling.

"Alyssa," Jesse whispered. "Are we falling?" Jesse obviously knew the answer already, and felt dumb for not noticing earlier.

"Yeah. I don't know why," Alyssa answered. They continued the silence until they hit something hard and cold.
•••~•••
Jennifire followed her sister into the basement and watched as Holly pretty much slid into the forbidden room.
"Holly!" Jennifire cried as she grabbed her sisters arm.
"You could've fallen in!"

Holly ignored Jennifire and flipped a switch which filled the room with bright light. A few feet ahead of them was a
pit that was several yards long and wide. It was
apparently never ending, so they used it to throw
garbage and failed experiments away.

Whenever something went in without a family members fingerprint being put onto a scanner,
an alarm would go off throwout the house. Mostly to signal people if somebody fell in, which had happened to multiple elves.

"Jennifire, look around the workshop to see if Jesse and
Alyssa are anywhere," Holly instructed while placing
her finger on the scanner. "I'll stay here."

"Holly, they're down there!" Jennifire complained. "If they aren't, then what set off the alarm? All the elves are gone!" Jennifire crouched at the edge of the pit, leaning in a little to see if she could see anything.

"Jennifire, get away from the edge," Holly
warned, cautiously nearing her sister.

Jennifire didn't listen. "I think I can hear something!" She excitedly said. "If I can just get a little closer..."

"Jennifire!" Holly screamed, leaping forward. Jennifire leaned in again, but this time she fell. And Holly couldn't catch her. Holly sat there, staring in disbelieve in the pitch black darkness of the pit. After several moments of silence Holly stood and took a deep breath.

"I can do this," she whispered.

With that Holly leaned forward and fell into the pit
that never ends, a plan buzzing in her head.
