Erik's POV
"What is this place?" I heard Christine ask.

I led Christine across the water. I walked her into the parlour. "This is my house- well, sort of. I'm renovating it since it's really old. It even has a piano and an organ. Once it's done I'll move in. There'll be no rent and there's electricity and wifi down here. I work here so I'll be able to work more and earn more money."

Christine walked around. "Play me something, one of your original songs." She said as she walked into the music room. I followed her.

"OK." I said as I sat down at the piano. "This one's called music of the night."

Night time sharpens
Heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs and wakes
Imagination Silently the senses
Abandon their defenses

It was a lullaby I wrote a couple of months ago. I continued to play with my beautiful technique.
Christine smiled widely at me while I played.

Close your eyes let your spirit start to soar
And you'll live as you've never lived before

I soon finished the song. "Erik that was amazing! You're such a talented musician." Christine gushed as I got up. She embraced me in a hug. "Thank you. I'll show you the rest of the place."

We walked out of the room. "Here's the kitchen." We walked to the left. "Here's the spare bedroom." The bedroom had the original paint job. It was a baby blue. It must have been a nursery. We walked past the parlour and big fireplace yet again. "Here's the bathroom." The bathroom had a white porcelain claw foot tub and antique sink. There was also a small dark brown cabinet. We walked into the bedroom. It had a big canopy bed with red velvet sheets. There was a fancy chest and a vanity. All of which were left in the house. To the left there was a door leading to an ensuite. The walls were brick in the bedroom. The ensuite had pastel aqua walls and another claw foot tub. There was a shower head that I installed. The ensuite had a newer sink but held an antique cabinet. The mirror above the sink had an intricate gold frame. We walked back into the bedroom. There was a monkey music box on the dresser. Christine sat down at the vanity and marvelled at all the antique jewelry, perfume, and makeup. I heard Christine gasp. "This is beautiful. And these pointe shoes." Christine pointed to the ones hanging on a hook besides the vanity. "They're from the 1800s. These would go for hundreds if not thousands at an auction. I know because my aunt has a pair. She got them for free from here, though."

"You seem to be very knowledgeable on dance history." I remarked sitting down on the bed.

Christine came over and sat down beside me. "Oh, yes. Aunt Giry taught me so much history as a kid. I just soaked it all in."

I enjoyed listening to Christine talk about the things she loved. She was so very passionate.

"And this one time." Christine continued. "She even took us the dance museum. It felt like I was in heaven seeing all these old pieces. There was even a ballet costume from when "Hannibal" the opera ran in this place in 1886. All I could think about was how if I lived in that time I would have been in that myself. For weeks after I kept begging aunt Antoinette to take me back there."

A perfect idea struck me. "Hey, why don't we go visit that museum this week? I'd love to see that costume." I was a little anxious before saying it. What if Christine said no? It was just an offer but I couldn't help the butterflies in my stomach.

Christine wrapped her arms around me. "Oh, Erik that'd be lovely! How about tomorrow after school? I'm free then."

My heart skipped a beat when she put her arms around me. And she even said yes! "I'm free tomorrow so that'd be perfect! I can't wait."

"I can't either." Christine smiled widely. She then checked her phone and sighed. "Would you look at the time. I really wish I could stay longer but I must go. I don't want Antoinette to worry."

I didn't want her to leave but I knew she had to. "Here, I'll walk you to the foyer." We got up and I grabbed her hand as I led her to the foyer. We passed by intricate gold candelabras on the walls where they never renovated in the lower levels. We soon approached the foyer and Christine turned to gave me before continuing ahead.

"Thank you for showing me your new place, it's absolutely beautiful." Christine remarked. She then put her hands on my shoulders and kissed me. I kissed back then she kissed back and so forth. This only lasted a minute but it was a minute of pure heaven. "Bye!" Christine yelled as she waved at me before running to find her aunt and Meg.
I missed her already. How was it possible? I smiled to myself thinking about the fact that I'll see her tomorrow. I turned around and went back to the house to get at least a little work done before having to go home.
