Hey Naruto fans! It’s your favourite author, Rin, and this is my new book, ‘The Nara’s Girl’. This is a Shikamaru Nara love story and nothing else so if you’re an Uchiha fangirl you need to leave.
This chapter basically just gives basic info and a brief summary on the plot. I made a few deviations from the canon story line but I don’t think you will be too upset over what they are. The biggest change, *spoiler alert* is that Jiraiya will not die. This broke my heart in the anime and I literally had a panic attack. I cried for about two weeks and still do.
Other things will be changed but the major points are still hit; Sasuke gets the curse mark and leaves, Naruto and Sakura are trained by Tsunade and Jiraiya, Orochimaru still does all of his creepy snake shit, Gaara is still a jerk during the chuunin exams, etc. There is no advanced technology yet such as phones and computers and cars, but televisions and movies still do (just not like Finding Dory or any Adam Sandler movies, just random things as I go).
My OC is the same for all of my stories. I loosely based the design and personality off of myself so . . . yeah. The main character's name is Rin, but it has no relation in any aspect to ‘Rin Nohara’, third member of team Minato and Obito’s crush. It’s just a coincidence, I promise. At some point I will probably insert some sort of flashback to a conversation regarding Kakashi and one of his friends discussing the matter but won’t make too big a deal of it.
I do flashbacks sometimes but they don’t usually take up a whole bunch of time or space in the chapter. I may flash back to key points or details in the story for a sort of narration of foreshadowing affect.
One thing I have planned though is if something is confusing or my readers just want to know some stuff, they can request information. It may be provided in a cliff note at the beginning or end of a chapter if it’s brief. It maybe said in an ‘A/N’ update if it needs much more detail and explaining. I could reference it in form of a flashback or even just reply to your comment.
I try to make everything as clear as possible. I beat around the bush a lot, not fully explaining or directly giving information out but I do make sure that you are aware of everything. One thing that pisses me off is when I have no idea how old someone is or their appearance or like when the author changes scenes and doesn’t give any indication of it so you get lost. I am very sorry if I do that! Don’t be afraid to comment!
Every chapter typically exceeds at least 1,200 words. If you’re like me, you look at a story and say “Wow! This work has sixty chapters!” and then start reading only to find out each chapter is only two paragraphs or is like 90% author’s notes. To be simply put, bothers the shit out of me. It also bothers me when a ton of OCs are added so I won’t be adding any but if I do, they won’t be main characters.
I will gladly accept any input my readers have for anything! Whether it’s plot ideas, or comments on my character, or even if you just want to give some constructive criticism to make my writing better. I always appreciate a new follower or a like on the book *wink, wink*.

Summary: A baby, by the name of Rin, was left on a certain copy cat ninja’s doorstep after losing the last of his team. After some careful thinking and finding out this was no coincidence, he takes her in and raises her. After discovering some shocking aspects of his daughter, he does everything in his power to protect her. Read along as they all take a miraculous journey.
