-Time skip to five years old-

Rin woke up to a throbbing pain in her head. No, not her head, more like her eyes. It was odd, she had hurt herself a lot, but never her eyes. So she crawled out of her comfortable bed, coloured white, black and a bright turquoise, grabbed her sloth and went into her dad's room.

She had to feel around the halls a bit. After all, it was about 3:45am so it was dark. She reached up to grab the doorknob and twisted ever so slightly. The door creaked open and her father lay there in his bed sound asleep.

She tiptoed over to his bed and climbed on, shaking her dad awake. “Daddy.” She whispered. Nothing. “Daddy.” She said a bit louder. He stirred but fell back asleep. “Daddy!” She yelled louder. He shot right up, kunai in hand and eyes alert, until his gazed settled on Rin.

“It's early, what are you doing awake?” He asked and laid back down. Her lip quivered and eyes welled up with up tears. He quickly grabbed her into an embrace, asking what was wrong over and over again.

“Daddy, my eyes hurt.” She mumbled into his chest. He nodded and rubbed her back as her sniffling calmed down into light breathing.

Of course he thought it was weird. Kids hurt themselves all of the time but usually it can wait until morning. So was it so bad that it couldn't wait until morning? Or was it random, by chance?

Kakashi would deal with it the morning. Maybe take her to the doctor. Nothing could be solved this early. So he drifted off to sleep.

The nineteen year old woke up to crying. Not just any crying, his daughter's crying. He rolled over in his navy blue duvet to look at his little girl who was rubbing at her eyes with force.

“Princess?” He asked as he pulled her hands away. And that's when he saw it. The streaks of crimson coming down her face from each violet orb. Screw the doctor, the hokage was more appropriate for this situation.

She looked at him, and his heart broke. Kakashi could see how much pain she was in, and that much for just a little girl? It was awful. “Why don't you go change out of your pajamas so me and you can go see someone that can make your eyes better, okay?” He asked rhetorically.

She nodded and left the room, her small sobs getting more muffled as she left. He quickly stood and dressed himself in his typical gear; black shirt and pants with a green vest.

When he finished, he found Rin in a white sundress with black sandals. Her ears were matted down to her head and her hands still shook. They went into the bathroom to wipe some of the blood away, but it just kept coming.

He mumbled a few curse words and picked her up, heading for the front door and towards the hokage's office.

Once there, he knocked on the door and waited for an answer. A brief ‘come in’ was heard and he quickly went in and shut the door behind him. “We have an issue and I don't think doctors and nurses can fix it.” Kakashi stated. He set her on his desk.

The old man came around the mahogany desk, and what he saw would forever stick in his memories. Her lavender eyes no longer had pupils, but a single black dot, a thick rim of purple and a black ring on the outside.

Though there was crimson liquid pouring from her eyes and onto the floor, that isn’t what concerned him. “What happened?” The third simply asked. It took Kakashi by surprise, that his superior could be so blunt.

He watched as the Hokage picked up his daughter and walked behind his desk, sitting down he placed the girl in his lap. The cradling motion seemed to soothe her pain in the slightest; her sobbing turning into whimpers and sniffles.
