Scared of the dark

It had been two hours since the car ride started. It was now just beginning to get dark. The sky turning a lovely dark blue colour that almost looked dark purple to Phil through the dark tinted windows of the car. Street lights started to flicker on as the streets grew darker. Phil didn't know where they were and was way way to nervous to ask. He was still getting over the fact that Tyler was a vampire. The fact that he had known him for a while, he hug out with him. He thought he knew everything about Tyler...apparently not.

Phil's eyes glanced to Troye in the seat next to Tyler. Phil noticed he looked tense, his fingers were twitching and his jaw beginning to tense. Phil looked away once again glanced out at the lovely night sky. Then a thought dawned on him...

He just wondered what Troye was...

" Dan" Tyler's soft voice spoke through the car. It was the only noise apart from the engine.

Dan's eyes looked up from gazing out his window.
" Yeah?" He answered. Turning to look at the driver.

" We might have a bit of a problem soon" Tyler told Dan in a soft voice. It was apparent that Tyler was trying not to get Dan angry.

Dan glanced at Phil, Dan adjusted himself in his seat.
" What do you mean?" Dan asked. Leaning forward.

Tyler seemed hesitant to answer. He glanced over at Troye who everyone was just now noticing, was really tense. The boy's jaw was clenched and his hands balled into fists. His foot was tapping impatiently on he ground.

Phil glanced nervously at Troye, he wondered what was wrong.
What was up with Troye, he had never seen him like this.

Tyler let out his breath that he didn't know he was holding, he seemed stressed.
" Look I'm just gonna say it Dan. Troye is a new vampire and your Claim is falling off Phil".

The car ride flew silent. Suddenly Tyler pulled over on the outskirts of a town, causing everyone in the car to lurch forward at the rapid stop. Woods lined both sides of the road. No other cars where in sight and there were no buildings within eye sigh range.

Phil stayed quiet.
He didn't know what this meant.

" I'm just gonna go for a walk" Troye said quickly while he shot out of the car. To fast for it to be normal.

The door slammed behind him. Tyler looked back to Dan.
" I'll go with him, we will be back in about twenty minutes. Which ever one you do, I need to know. I need to know how long it will last".

Dan ran a hand through his hair to the tenth time that day. He simply nodded his head. Not making eye contact with anyone in the car. Instead finding his shoes very interesting.

Tyler left the car and closed the door, taking the car keys with him. He ran up to Troye who was further up the road. Phil saw Tyler slip his hand in Troye as they walked away. A bit to quickly.

The car grew very silent for a couple of seconds. It was awkward silence that filled the space and Phil could have sworn the temperature dropped, just a little bit. Phil turned to Dan, worry in his eyes.

" Dan I don't understand what's happening" Phil said sounding scared, his voice wavering slightly.

Dan sighed and looked straight into his eyes.
" You should know how new vampires get that urge to...well shut up any human who knows about us. The instinct".

Phil just nodded.

" Well since Troye is a new vampire he's getting that urge" Dan explained, flatly.
