Dan's povThe intense pain in my leg combined with my growing thirst made me doubt whether or not I would get out of this church alive. Second by second I was losing blood and second by second I was growing more thirsty then ever.
I knelt down next to Mark, I was no believer in god, but I prayed that he would be okay. I reached to check his pulse.
I breathed in relief when I felt his blood pump. It was weak and slow, but it was there and growing stronger but the minute.
" He'll be fine" I told Phil.
I notice that he relaxed, when he herd the news.
" Check Sean" I told Phil.
I didn't want him to know that I was slowly dying myself. I was too weak to hunt to replenish the blood that I was loosing at an alarm velocity. I slowly sat down next to Mark and glanced up at Phil who was trying to shake Sean awake. I knew that when Sean saw me that he would immediately know that I didn't have much time left.
I only hope that he wouldn't make a big fuss over it with Phil around. The last thing I wanted was for Phil to see me die. Seeing a vampire die is way more gruesome then a human death. We turn to dust, slowly flaking away. Only to brush with the wind. He's been through too much, Phil deserves peace. Phil deserves the world.I only wish I could give it to him.
Looks like I'll be seeing that demon in hell soon, it is where all vampires go.
" P-Phil?" I herd Sean voice stutter.
" Lets hope this goes well" I whispered to Mark, even though he couldn't hear me.
" Yeah, I'm here" Phil assured Sean as he helped him sit up.
I watched as Sean saw Mark, limp on the floor. His eyes then trailed too the wound I had that was only getting worse. I saw realisation in his eyes wen he saw how much blood I had lost, he knew I wasn't going to make it. Sean's eyes glanced back down at Mark.
" Is Mark okay?" Sean asked me.
I nodded.
" He'll be fine he just needs rest and all the other human things" I told him, trying to keep my voice level.Sean stood up with the help of Phil.
" Phil an you go get water from the car, and bandages for Dan to speed up his healing process?"." Yeah of course" Phil agreed and started off to the car.
Me and Sean watched as Phil left. We both waited until the door was closed behind him to talk.
" Dan-".
" Don't say it".
Sean walked over to me. He looked at my wound with a concerned face.
" Maybe we could stitch this up...".I shook my head.
" No, I've already lost too much blood".
I chuckled.
" It's funny how I can survive almost anything, even a stab to the heart. As long as I don't bleed out. Vampires aren't as immortal as human tend to believe"." You'll be okay Dan, we'll work something out".
I looked over to Sean who had glassy eyes, tears threatening to spill over. My heart broke both for him and the fact that Phil would have that same look when he inevitably finds out. I internally sighed.
We were broken out of our little moment when Phil jogged over to us with water and bandages.
Sean jumped at the water and gulped some of it down. He then opened the first aid kit and got to work.
