Chapter 11

Lucy's POV
I woke up to loud snoring coming from the living room and I immediately knew that Natsu and Happy had snuck in last night. I walked in and threw a blanket on the cat whilst Natsu didn't need one. I walked over to my writing desk and opened the book I'm writing. I looked at the last page I wrote in before taking a pen and writing more words. I heard Natsu stop snoring. 'Must be awake.' I thought. I turned expecting to see Natsu waking up telling me he's hungry but he was just laying there, eyes closed, as if he was still asleep. I walked over and sat beside him. 'Probably a nightmare.' I thought. 'But Natsu doesn't really get nightmares does he? He's always so fun and energetic, so why would he have nightmares about?' He then made a face of pain and gripped the couch. "Natsu?" I whispered to him. His face relaxed but he started whimpering. I remember the last he whimpered was when I.....                        *Flashback*

I smiled running up to Natsu. "We did it! We beat the monster!" He looked at me with his signature grin. "We sure did Luce. We should celebrate when we get back." I nodded. Just then Natsu dropped to the ground writhing in pain. "NATSU!" I dropped on my knees and looked at his face. I couldn't tell what was wrong. He stopped writhing and went limp. He looked up at me and whimpered. "I.....c...hurt.....y..." and he passed out.
                *Flashback over*

I looked at him with tears flowing from my eyes. Could he be dreaming about that. I hugged him not knowing that he had woken up. "Luce..." He said. I looked up at him. "Yes Natsu?" "Why are you crying...I didn't hurt you did I?" I shook my head "No you didn't it's just, I thought you were in a nightmare and I couldn't bear to see you like that." My tears flowed even more and I closed my eyes. I felt Natsu's strong arm pull me deeper into the hug. He lifted my chin to his face and gently kissed me. I put my arms around his neck as he grabbed the back of my head deepening the kiss. We pulled apart after a minute and looked at each other. He looked at me seriously. "Luce as you know your my mate..." I nodded "Well I kinda sorta need to um Mark you" he said gesturing my neck and shoulders. I nodded again and tilted my head to the side. "Ok." He leaned his head in and sunk his teeth into a spot on my shoulder. It didn't hurt. It actually felt good. So good that I accidently moaned. He released his bite and looked at me while I covered my face blushing. He smiled and hugged me. I smiled and hugged him back.
