Chapter 18

Wendy's POV
Romeo hasn't come to the guild in 3 days now which is worrying me. 'Does he regret kissing me? Do I mean nothing to him?' I sniffed and ran out of the guild with tears streaming down my face. I heard Lucy and Carla call out to but I ignored them. 'I need time alone...' I ran into the forest, not caring if I got lost. Once I was pretty much miles away from the guild, I screamed. I was in pain, but it wasn't physical. 'Is this what it feels like to have your heart broken?' I thought as I sobbed and clutched my chest. "Why would he steal my first kiss and then disappear?!" I screamed at no one in particular. After a few hours, I calmed down enough to look around at my surroundings. I heard a twig snap and turned around to see a Vulcan. I sensed powerful magic radiating off it. He grunted. "Girl make good snack!" He said licking his lips. I got in a battle stance ready to fight. He swiped at me and I narrowly dodged it. 'DAMN he's quick!' I hit him with a talon and dodged a kick but got swiped with claws. I fell clutching my side hissing in pain. I jumped dodging another swipe of claws. "Sky dragon Roar!" I used all my power to send it flying. I panted breathing heavily. As the dust settled, I saw a fist fly at me. A second to late, I dodged but it hit me sending me flying into a tree. I screamed in pain tears filling up and threatening to spill. I got my teeth and got up. 'I'm too weak....Not enough magic power...' The last thing I see is some hooded figures come into view and destroy the monster. They came to me. The hooded figure on the right took off their hood revealing Jellal. He grabbed my hand and removed it from my side. It was slick and shiny with blood. I let out a weak laugh and blacked out.
Jellal's POV
Meldy had been hearing screams coming from the forest but shrugged it off. We were going to Fairy Tail when we heard an explosion coming from where Meldy heard the screams. We ran into the forest and found a Vulcan. We were about when Meldy gasped and grabbed my arm, stopping me from walking. "Jellal." She whispered looking up at me with a terrified look on her face. I looked to the spot she was looking at and saw long blue hair. Long blue hair, stained with blood. I shouted at Meldy to take the back while I take the front. We killed the Vulcan and we ran to the little girl. I immediately knew who it was. "Wendy." I murmured. I picked her hand up and removed it from her side revealing three deep cuts bleeding profusely. She smiled and then blacked out scaring the crap out of me. "Meldy I'll  get her to her guild, you go warn the others about what happened." She nodded and took off running. I picked Wendy up gently. Her breathing was getting shallow. I took off my cape and ripped it to where it was one long strip and wrapped around her side stopping the bleeding for now. "Hang in there Wendy." I said picking her up and walking her over to the guild.
Meldy's POV
'Poor poor Wendy! What was she doing out there so deep in forest?' I had so many questions but I had to push them away and focus on the task at hand.
Romeo's POV
I got sick and couldn't come to the guild for a couple of days so yeah, that sucked. But I got to go to the guild today! I can finally see Wendy! When I got there I couldn't find her anywhere. I walked up to Mira and took a seat in front of her. "Hi Romeo!" She said in an overly cheerful voice. "Hey Mira." I said as I slumped in my seat. "What's wrong kiddo?" I sighed "It's just I was looking forward to seeing Wendy today since I was sick the last couple of days." She nodded in understanding. "Wendy was here but I do-" she was cut off by the Guild doors slamming open. I turned and saw Meldy. "Hello Meldy!" Everyone greeted her. "H- *pant* Hi *pant* every *pant* one" Something felt wrong. Meldy looked scared, wait no scared is an understatement. She looked Terrified. As if remembering something urgent she turned towards the bar and yelled at Mira. "GET THE INFIRMARY READY!" Everyone stopped and stared at her in shock. Mira's face turned to one of worry and confusion. "Why what's wrong?" Meldy looked at her with tears in her eyes. Then she dropped to her knees and started crying. Everyone ran over to her to comfort her. Mira made her way to Meldy and pulled her to her feet. "Meldy what Happened." She demanded. Meldy looked at her. "I-I-I" she stopped tears pouring. "One of your members got hurt." She whispered. Mira nodded and grabbed the book that had pictures of everyone in Fairy Tail. "Point at them."
Mira's POV
Poor Meldy was in tears. "One of your members got hurt." I wouldn't have heard her if I had been any further. I got up and grabbed the book of members. It's a scrap book full of pictures of the Members. She grabbed it with shaking hands. I watched in horror as she turned to the children section. Her eyes listened with tears and she shakely pointed at the picture of..... Wendy. My eyes widened and I heard Natsu break a table in half. Romeo was just staring at the picture of Wendy. I told Kinana to get a bed in the infirmary ready, then I turned back to Meldy. "Is she just tired or low on magic power?" I asked hoping she would say yes. She was about to say something when the doors slammed open once again. Jellal was carrying Wendy his face shrouded with an emotion no one could figure out. He held an unconscious  Wendy close to his chest. I ran over to them and looked at Wendy. She was paler than usual and she wasn't breathing correctly. I looked up at Jellal. "What happened?" He shook his head and moved towards the infirmary but was stopped by Natsu and Romeo. "What happened?" They both said in a demanding tone. Kinana came out with a bed on wheels and took it over to Jellal. He seemed hesitant to put her down. "Jellal?" Erza said trying to get him to put the girl down. He just shook his head. "I don't want to make her bleed more." The people gathered around Jellal froze. "What?" Erza whispered. He carefully put Wendy on the bed like she was made of glass that would break at the slightest touch. As soon as he put her down, everyone saw his white shirt. His white shirt stained with blood.
