Chapter 14

Wendy's POV
I watched in jealousy as Lucy and Natsu kissed. 'I wanna mate like that.' I sighed and sat down at one of the bar stools. "Hi Wendy! Can I get you anything?" Mira asked politely. "Yeah actually, I could use a vanilla milkshake right about now." I gave her my best smile. She winked at me, "Of course Wendy! Anything you want I'll make."thanks Mira." I muttered. I looked at all the members sitting around talking, fighting, and laughing. It's funny how I came all this way from being in Kaite shelter to Fairy Tail in such a short time. I swirled the straw in my milkshake watching the whip cream mix and blend into the shake. 'Stop thinking about that Wendy your gonna make yourself cry.' I scolded myself. I finished the shake and moved to where I was alone and next to the window. I made sure no one could see my face as I looked out the window in the direction of where Kaite shelter used to be. Key word used to be. I am usually a quiet crier but I accidently let out a sob which echoed throughout the guild hall making every one stop and look around to find out the source. Natsu's gaze immediately landed on me. I know it was Natsu because he's the only one, besides Romeo, who could tell when I was crying. I felt his movement as he got up and started walking towards me. I tensed expecting him to ask me what was wrong, but I sensed him moved in a different direction. I relaxed as I looked slightly to the right seeing him talking to Gajeel and Romeo. I looked back out the window letting the tears flow silently.
Natsu's POV
I heard a sob echo through the guild and immediately knew that Wendy was crying. I looked at Romeo and shared a look with him. I nodded my head towards her stating that he should go talk to her but he just shook his head frantically. I gave him a questioning look and he just blushed a tiny bit and looked down at the ground. Ah that's right, he has a crush on Wendy. I smirked, got up, and walked towards him. "Sup Romeo!" I said giving my signature grin. He looked up and smiled back at me. "Hey Natsu! What's up?" I grinned and he instantly blushed and looked at the ground. I signaled for Gajeel to get his ass over here. He glared at me but obliged. "What do you want salamander?" I glanced at Romeo and back at Gajeel. He seemed to understand. "Hey Romeo. Did you know Wendy's crying?" Romeo looked up and nodded his head. "Then why don't you go comfort her?" He frowned,  "You guys know why. I can't talk to her, I'll freeze up!" Gajeel and I shared a look and picked Romeo up. Romeo shouted at us to put him down but we just walked a little ways towards Wendy and put him down. Gajeel then shoved him into the seat next to Wendy and walked away. Romeo glared at me but I just smiled and walked away.
Romeo's POV
Why do they do this to me?! I asked myself why I even hung out with them and decided that it was because they were like older brothers I never had. Wendy sniffed quietly and turned away. I remembered that she was crying. "Wendy what's wrong?" "..." "Come on Wendy, you can tell me. " She sniffed and looked up at me. I looked into her milk chocolate brown eyes and saw sorrow and pain. 'I never thought that Wendy of all people could be sadder than sad.' I saw a tear leave her eye and trail down her cheek. I hate seeing her so sad like this.
Wendy's POV
I'm embarrassed. Embarrassed that I'm so weak and embarrassed at how I cry over everything. I looked at Romeo who had sat beside me to ask me what was wrong. I looked into his black pearl eyes which made me cry more. 'I'm pathetic. He must pity me seeing me like this.' I felt a tear leave my eye. My eyes widened as he placed his hand on my cheek and wiped away the tears. "Wendy, what's wrong?" He asked again. I sighed got up grabbed his hand and dragged him outside the guild. "You really want to know?" He nodded his head looking straight into my eyes making me blush and duck my head. "Okay. I'll tell you."
