Nas POV
I was standing at the alter watching everyone come down the aisle. I'm not gone lie I was nervous as fuck and didn't want to stumble over any words nor fuck up reading my vows. When those doors opened my mouth dropped as I instantly started crying turning around shaking my head looking up and thanking God for blessing me. "Turn back around man" one of the boys says as I did seeing my baby girl walk down the aisle to me.
"Damn" I say under my breath, she looked good as fuck and her beauty was breathtaking. Once her and her mother came to a stop the pastor spoke. "We have come together at the invitation of Onika and Nasir to celebrate the uniting in Christian love, their hearts and lives. This is possible because of the love God has created in them, through Jesus Christ. Who then has prepared this woman for marriage to this man?" She says as Carol spoke. "Her brother and I" she says before helping her over to me.
Grabbing her hand we locked eyes as I seen she was crying. "I love you" she mouthed as I took her hand kissing her knuckles. "Onika and Nasir, no other human ties are more tender, no other vows are more sacred than these you are about to assume. You are entering into that holy estate which is the deepest mystery of experience, and which is the very sacrament of divine love." Pastor Lydia says.
"Nasir, will you have Onika, to be your wedded wife, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony; will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only for her so long as you both shall live?" She ask looking at me as I nodded "I will" I respond as she nodded looking over at Nicki. "Onika, will you have Nasir to be your wedded husband, to live together after God's ordinance in the holy estate of matrimony; will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, keep yourself only for him so long as you both shall live?" She says.
"I will" Nicki responds before making a hissing noise holding her stomach. "You good" I mouthed as she nodded. "Alright now its your turn to say any written vows you have for each other starting with the bride" she says as Nicki's eyes grew. "Oh wow me go first, ohhhhkaaay" she says as the audience snickered. "First I would like to say Nas I love you so so much and..." She say trying to hold back tears. "And thank you for putting with me even when we were growing up and I used always be mean to you" she says as we all chuckled.
"You have been my best friend, mentor, playmate, confidant and my greatest challenge. But most importantly, you are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible... You have made me a better person, as our love for one another is reflected in the way I live my life. So I am truly blessed to be a part of your life." She says before smiling and wiping away her fallen tears. "And you Mr. Nasir" pastor Lydia says as I cleared my throat getting ready.
"Baby girl" I say hearing the groomsmen and bridesmaids sigh and chuckle because they all know I stay calling her that. "From the moment we met in the studio back in the day I knew I was gone wife you. It did take a while for me to get her but I did and now you're about to be my wife and mother of my second child." I say looking at her as she smiled and the crowd awed. "Most importantly I love you more than life itself and I make it my business to always protect and keep you and my daughters safe" I say as she started to cry again making me tear up.
""I promise to be your lover, companion and friend, Your partner in parenthood, Your ally in conflict, Your greatest fan and your toughest adversary, Your comrade in adventure, Your student and your teacher" I winked as she smirked biting her lip. "Your consolation in disappointment, Your accomplice in mischief.
This is my sacred vow to you, my equal in all things." I say before looking back to the pastor. "Nasir You may now place your ring on your Bride's finger." She says to me as I slid Nicki's ring on her finger."Onika, what symbol do you bring as a pledge of that sincerity of your vows?" She says. "A ring" Nicki responds. "Nasir, this ring is a seal of Onika's vow to you. She presents this to you as a token of her submission to you in Jesus Christ. This is a symbol of leadership and privilege. God has placed you as head of the family. You must lead in worship, works and fellowship. As the weaker vessel she depends upon you for strength." Pastor Lydia says as I nodded. "You may now play the ring on the grooms finger" she says as Nicki did as told.
"For as much as Nasir and Onika have consented in holy wedlock, and have thereto confirmed the same by giving and receiving each one a ring; by the authority committed unto me as a minister of the Church of Jesus Christ, I now declare you husband and wife, according to the ordinance of God, and the laws of the state of New York in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen." She says as we all said amen. "Everyone please remain seated for the candle lighting ceremony." Lydia says as Nicki squeezed my hand.
"Damn you alright" I ask as she breathed in and out slowly. "I think I'm having a contraction I need to sit down" she whispers. "We almost finished you don't think you can make it" I ask as she sighs. "I can try" she says as I nodded. "The two outside candles have been lighted by the parents to represent Nasir's and Onika's lives to this moment. They are two distinct lights, each capable of going their separate ways. To bring bliss and happiness to Nasir's and Onika's home, there must be a merging of these two lights into one light." Pastor Lydia says.
"This is what the Lord meant when He said, "On this account, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two shall be one flesh." From now on their thoughts shall be for each other rather than for their individual selves. Their plans shall be mutual, their joys and sorrows shall be shared alike. As they take a candle and together light the center one, they will extinguish their own candles, thus letting the center candle represent the union of their lives into one flesh. As this one light cannot be divided, neither shall their lies be divided but a united testimony in a Christian home. May ;the radiance of this one light be a testimony of their unity in the Lord Jesus Christ." Lydia says ending the ceremony.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you Mr. & Mrs. Nasir Jones, you may now kiss your bride" she says as I pulled Nicki into me giving a deep nasty kiss making everyone go crazy along with telling us to stop and remember where we're at. "We did it baby" Nicki says as I grabbed her hand before turning to walk down the aisle I heard a liquid sound hit against the floor almost something was being dropped and I know damn well Nicki's ass did not stand up here and pee on herself.
"I know you're excited and all baby but damn did you have to pee on yourself" I say lowly as she smacked her teeth. "Please that was the baby" she says calmly before gasping. "OH MY GAWD MY WATER JUST BROKE" she panicked as the audience went nuts and all I could do was stand there in shock not believing this was happening right now. "Nigga pick her up didn't she just say her water broke" I heard being slapped in the back of the head before seeing it was doobie. "Oh yeah" I say reacting fast picking her up and rushing out the door.
