A full two weeks passed of training with Obi Wan and Master Windu to gain control over his new Force abilities. Anakin was getting better everyday and he hasn't had an uncontrollable outburst since the day he found out there was more to the prophesy. To his destiny.
Everytime he thought about his destiny, he thought about what Ace had told him and he'd stop worrying about it. His future was what he made it and his destiny was what he created. Not what someone had written way before his time.
And lately whenever he was around Ace, the guy made him feel weird sensations and he didn't know why. He always got a fluttery feeling in the pit of his stomach whenever he and Ace were alone, he was blushing a lot lately too and surprisingly, Ace made him genuinely happy and that was a first. He was either usually angry or sad and depressed. And though he had gotten used to Ace's dirty comments but occasionally they'd catch him off guard.
Anakin was actually training at the moment with Obi Wan and Master Windu was observing. Anakin blocked a hit from Obi Wan's lightsaber and pushed his arms out, shoving him back.
"So...." Obi Wan began as he attacked once more. "What's going on with you and Ace?"
Anakin raised his lightsaber, deflecting the attack with ease and frowned at him. "What makes you think there's anything going on?"
Anakin dodged and Obi Wan gave him a 'cut the bullshit' look, which had no effect on him. "You two are always giggling with each other and it seems as if there's something I should know."
Anakin became slightly irritated with what he said. He attacked Obi Wan with that irritation threatening to turn into anger and he tried to ignore what he was feeling.
"Whatever's "going on" is none of your business because there is nothing going on." Anakin panted. "And even if there was...there would be nothing you would need to know."
Ending his sentence with that Anakin Force flipped over Obi Wan's head, landed gracefully behind him and kicked his legs out from under him, using the Force to take his lightsaber, emphasizing his point. That whatever was going on in his personal life was NONE of their business whatsoever.
Anakin stepped back away from Obi Wan, thrusting his lightsaber into his hands and turning on his heel. As he stalked away he could see Obi Wan and Windu make eyecontact a silent understanding passing between them.
Anakin shook his head, huffed and stormed out of the training grounds. Sometimes he hated being a Jedi; Obi Wan and the council were always prying into his life. It was like he couldn't have anything to himself without someone wantin to know what it was, what was going on or why he did have it.
Anakin walked quickly down the hall of the Jedi temple, his eyes watching the floor as he walked. He had been walking though and now he was somehow running; he didn't know when he had started but he did. Anakin rounded a corner and literally rammed into someone--or someone ran into him, he couldn't tell but they both went sprawling onto the floor. Whoever it was he ran into lying on top of him and himself lying on the floor.
The person on top of him had familiar brown hair and when he pushed himself up a bit, Ace revealed himself as the guy he just ran into. Anakin stared up at him, wondering why on earth he had been here in the first place.
Ace grinned. "We have got to stop meeting like this."
Anakin blinked and tried not to rush him to get up; he liked the position they were in...perhaps more than he should. Anakin stared up at him and felt a blush creeping up his cheeks. "Uh....yeah. We definitely need to....stop...."
Anakin trailed off when Ace brought his lips to his ear and said, "Don't worry. I know you like this. And I know you want me."
Anakin shook his head and stared up at him, opening his mouth to protest when there was a loud robotic roar that echoed through the halls. Anakin and Ace shot to their feet, sprinting towards the sound, their almost intimate moment forgotten. Anakin was the first to reach the source of the loud roar and he stared in shock at what he saw.
General Grievous was being shackled and chained to a wall inside a cell; he wasn't very happy about it.
"Ah Anakin. Nice of you to join us." Master Plo said as he monitored the process.
"What's going on?" Anakin demanded.
"Why this is the capture and inprisonment of General Grievous."
