Anakin stood before the Jedi council, beside Obi Wan and Master Plo, who was proud and stood as straight as he could. Plo had been on a mission to retrieve some information vital to Anakin and Obi Wan's next mission that the council was going to send them on when he came across Grievous, who was seemingly alone.

The capture had been easy and simple and the way Plo had described it seemed as though General Grievous hadn't put up much of a fight at all. Almost as if he wanted to get caught. Of course no one took notice or just didn't care. So while the council was praising him, Anakin stepped forward.

"Does it not cross your minds that Grievous wanted to be caught?" Anakin interrupted, causing everyone in the council chambers to fall silent. "I mean come on. As many times as my master and I have tried to capture him, he always gets away, leaving at least half of our squad dead."

"Anakin watch yourself." Obi Wan said.

Anakin turned to Plo. "How many of your squad is dead?"

Plo looked at the council and Senator Palpatine, before holding his head up high and said, "None. But that does not mean anything. Grievous was just no match for my team."

Anakin snorted. "And I'm the arrogant one."

"Anakin!" Obi Wan hissed.

"What?! If it were me standing there, you'd be lecturing me on the spot! Especially about something like this!" Anakin protested.

"That is enough Skywalker." Palpatine said.

Anakin scowled. "Screw you! You're all a bunch of hypocrites!"

"Anakin you are way out of line!" Obi Wan yelled. "Leave immediately and go calm down."

Anakin shook his head glaring at him as he stalked towards the doors. Pausing just before he left, he said over his shoulder, "If I'm right....you guys just sentenced everyone in this temple to death."

💫💫💫💫
It's been two hours since the disagreement in the jedi council chambers and since then, Anakin had been ranting on and on to Ace, who had let him come to his home. It's been like this for a while--everytime Anakin needed to vent or just someone to talk to or be with, Ace was always there. He hadn't hesitated to open his home up to him and Anakin guessed that was another reason he was starting to fall for him.

Yeah.

Anakin was definitely falling for the guy. He wasn't sure if he'd be in love with him anytime soon but he was definitely falling for him. And besides....Ace made him laugh.

"I mean, don't they get it?!" Anakin exclaimed, waving his arms. "Knowing Dooku and this Sith--the leader of the Separatists, they'll do anything to get what they want! And they want all of us gone!"

"Ani...."

"And I know if it were me they'd lecture and warn me in a heartbeat that something was wrong! Why don't they ever listen to me?!"

"Anikan...."

"And Obi Wan said that I was out of line when all I did was voice what I feel in my heart to be true! Well I got words for that no good son-of-a--"

"Anakin!" Ace shouted, finally getting his attention. Anakin glanced at him in surprise and stopped talking. "I get it. I really do but....maybe you try talking to them again."

"You really think I should?" Anakin asked, unsure.

Ace nodded. "Yeah. And if it...makes you feel any better, I'll come with."

Twenty minutes later Anakin and Ace walked into the Jedi Temple side by side, making their way through the corridors towards the council chambers. They were silent because no words needed to be spoken and he was contempt with the support he had from Ace. There was an eerie feeling hanging in the air--one that usually was there when something horrible was about to happen.

Anakin opened his mouth to say something but the words never left as the temple shook with a devastating explosion that sent Anakin and Ace staggering. Dread filled Anakin's chest and he barely spared a glance at Ace before he sprinted forward, racing down the corridor to the cell block where Grievous was being held.

Anakin skidded to a stop when he saw bodies scattered all over the place...or at least parts that belonged to bodies. His mouth dropped open as he saw that some of the bodies belonged to children. Anakin covered his mouth as a small squeak left his lips and tears sprung to his eyes. Despite how many battles he'd been in and how many dead bodies he saw on the battlefield, never did he expect to react like this. He never got used to this...especially when children were killed in the crossfire.

The sound of clanking footsteps made him look up; Grievous was walking toward him, an evil glint in his eyes. "My lord will be pleased when I bring you to him."

Anakin backed away a few steps, shaking his head. "This was a trap the whole time."

Grievous let out a disgusting laugh and pulled his lightsaber. Anakin just stepped back and feeling the air shift behind him, he spun around unclipping his saber from his belt and igniting it all simultaneously. Anakin had blocked an attack from a droid and had cut it down in seconds.

Anakin whirls around only to be met by a green saber at his throat. He swallowed and his fingers curled around his saber's handle, wanting to ignite it but he feared any sudden movements would cause him to get cut by the saber at his throat. Anakin decided to try and use his new Force abilities; he blocked out everything except Grievous and focused on ripping him apart. He focused on destroying him from the inside out and bending every piece of metal on him to his will.

And it began to work.

Grievous screamed out in pain as Anakin began to destroy him. He used his anger and his sadness and his guilt to fuel his abilities and his head tilted slightly, eyes narrowing. Grievous bent into an unrecognizable scrap of metal heap and Anakin turned to the droids who were marching into the room, with the order of taking Anakin with them; alive but hurt if neccessary.

Anakin picked up his saber and started walking in slow careful strides, destroying every droid in his way without even trying. Anakin's subconscious was controlling him while he himself had no idea what he was doing. He vaguely heard someone calling his name as he walked down the corridor towards the council chambers where he knew the Jedi were fighting.

Anakin used the force to throw open the doors before entering. When the droids saw him they started towards them and with one look, they crumpled into a pile of pieces. Anakin strode forward, feeling the Force telling him there was someone there he probably wanted to kill. Anakin destroyed every single droid in the council chambers without lifting a finger, leaving them all speechless.

Droids, Anakin thought. Anyone responsible for this attack will die a horrible death...

"ANAKIN!"

Anakin blinked, snapping out of the sort of trance he had been in and looked around. He saw demolished droids and he looked back up, his face blank. "They all deserved it."

"Anakin what...." Padmè started.

"Grievous is dead." Anakin told them. "And I was right. Now there are innocent kids that are dead and possibly more people."

"Skywalker--"

"This is what happens when you don't listen to someone." Anakin continued. "Now you deal with the consequences."

A/N: I know it might have been rushed but is it still good? Let me know.

May the Force be with you😏
