Anakin walked a few paces behind Obi Wan, the hood of his jacket up shielding his face from the people in the village. Yavin 4 was a moon but it had every quality of a planet. Anakin glanced back at Ace who was walking with his head up straight and a smile plastered to his face; Jett and Mekhi were walking side by side but they were all talking quietly amongst themselves; Aviana wasn't on this mission with them today for reasons unknown.
A lot of the clone troopers were back at their hidden camp but Rex and Kix insisted on coming, probably to keep an eye on Anakin, their general. They knew about what happened at the Jedi Temple and because they were so close with him, they wanted to make sure he was alright.
Anakin kept his head down, avoiding eye contact with anyone. One wrong move and this whole mission would go sideways. They passed by droids and the native people of Vornez, some who lived in fear of the Separatists who had taken over their small planet. Their village. Others...prefered to either fight back or use droids to their advantage to get what they wanted.
Anakin continued to follow behind Obi Wan until someone grabbed his arm and pulled him backwards, a hand covering his mouth. Anakin kicked back at the person holding him and he heard him grunt and that was followed by a shout from Ace who had been tackled to the ground after he tried to run and help Anakin. Now it seemed Anakin needed to help him...or not.
Ace had kicked the guy in the face, knocking him out and flipping to his feet, he pulled a blaster and aimed it at the man holding Anakin.
"Let him go!" Ace yelled at him.
The man laughed and moved one of his arms to wrap around his waist from behind, but his grip tightened. Anakin could easily get out of this but if he used his Force abilities or even his lightsaber they would be revealed as Jedi and part of the Republic. And that would be bad considering the place was being controlled by the Separatists. But if he did nothing, this standoff would draw attention and his hood had fallen so now his face was visible for everyone to see.
Anakin was grateful no droids were over this way.
"I said, let him go." Ace's voice had deepened to a growl and Anakin could see that he was really going to kill this guy.
Anakin grabbed the man's arm and wrenched it to the right, twisting around and kicking him in the chest, sending him stumbling back against a wall. The man was a well muscle built guy, with green eyes and an angry expression on his face.
"Stupid kid!" The man said. "You're gonna pay for that."
"Look...I don't want to fight you so please just--" Anakin started.
The man charged at him, throwing a fast right-left at his face. Anakin had no problem dodging his attacks. Anakin only let him hurt himself; there's that saying "let your enemy fight himself" and so that was what Anakin was doing. He'd stand in front of a wall and when the man would swing at him, he'd move to the side at the last minute so his fist would hit the wall, hurting himself.
