When I wake up I feel an odd weight on my chest. I look down and see Amy's head laying there. She nestles her head further unto me and moves her hand on my stomach, it makes me smile. It's comforting somehow.

"Amy?" I ask. I hear her take a deep breath and she sits up. After rubbing her right eye she looks at me.

"Sorry." She says, realising she was laying on me.

"No it's fine, I just wanted to see if you wanted to go out and get breakfast." I say as I sit up.

"Sounds good, but I would need to go home and get ready if we are going out." She says.

"You look good to me." I say. She rolls her eyes and puts her hair up in a bun. "I'll drive you, I know this good place in town for breakfast." I say. She stands up and nods on the way to my bathroom. Watching her walk away in my top brings me another wave of the strange sense of need. I've only known she exists for about two weeks. But the need to know her is unbreakable.

"Harry?" She asks, popping her head out of the doorway.

"Yeah?" I ask as I walk to my wardrobe.

"Can I have a shower? I want to spend as little time in my place as possible." She asks.

"Go for it." I say with a small smile which is returned amplified. I showered before I picked her up yesterday so I don't need one. I get dressed and have a drink. When I get back to my bedroom Amy has just finished putting on her top, showing me from her bellybutton to her jeans.

"Knock much?" She asks as she combs her wet hair with her fingers.

"Sorry, I'm not used to people being in here." I say as I head to my bathroom.

"Really? How many non-relatives have been in here?" She asks as I put on some cologne.

"Two, both male." I say as I put toothpaste on my toothbrush.

"I didn't think you were gay." She says. I stick my head out of the doorway and raise my eyebrows.

"But you thought I was a man whore?" I ask.

"You have the potential." She says and gives me a knowing look. I chuckle and after brushing my teeth I grab the things I need and I drive Amy to her place.

"I'll be down in five." She says and at my nod she unlocks the door and goes inside her house.

In five minutes she comes out in a different choice of clothes, light makeup and drier hair. She seems to run out of the house.

"Why do you hate that house so much? It looks nice from here." I say as I look to the house.

"It just makes me feel weird." She says and shudders. My curiosity grows but I decide to not ruin the morning.

I drive us the fifteen minutes to the quaint little pancake house on the edge of town and park. Amy seems to like it as she has a permanent small smile on her lips.

"Come on." I say and lead us inside. We walk in and are seated by the window. I get a chocolate milkshake and Amy gets a strawberry one to start.

"So, good idea?" I ask as I sip my milkshake.

"Very good idea. This place is so, cute." She says. I smile and we order food. I get a traditional stack of pancakes and Amy gets waffles with chocolate sauce.

"So, favourite film?" I ask.

"Bugsy Malone." Amy says instantly. "You?" She asks.

"Breakfast club." I say.

"I take it you like breakfast." She says and giggles. I raise my eyebrows and nod.

"You could say that." I say. "Pets?" I ask.

"Well, I have had two dogs in my life. One was given away when I was eleven and the other one is now with my dad. I've asked for a dog ever since but my mum is more concerned with work at the moment." She says.

"I had a pet fly once." I say. She gives me a strange look.

"True." I say and put my hand on my chest.

"How? Why? When?" She asks.

"It was ill, I made it better. I was seven." I say. "I fed it jam on the tip of a pencil." I say proudly. Amy starts laughing and I smile. "You should smile more." I say. She smiles and looks down at her food.

"Then give me more reasons to smile." She says. Suddenly, a wave of a new emotion flows through me. Determination.

"I will." I say and smile a little. She chuckles and we finish eating.

After a little argument about paying, I pay and we go back to my place at Amy's request. We sit on my sofa and watch TV. Slowly, Amy leans on me. As her head gently rests on my shoulder her phone buzzes.

"Crap." She grunts.

"What's wrong?" I ask. Upset slightly from the loss of contact.

"My mother is home." She mumbles.

"Do you want me to drive you home?" I ask.

"No, she will call if she needs me." She says as she puts her phone away. I frown lightly as her vibe changes.

"You sure?" I ask. She looks at me and smiles.

"Yeah Harry. She knows I hate it there." She says. I nod and she leans on me. The vibe settles but is still effected. After about an hour her phone buzzes again but she ignores it.

"Amy?" I ask.

"Ignore it. I don't want to answer." She says as she sits up.

"Amy." I say and sigh.

"Ignore it." She says and suddenly kisses me. I kiss back and soon find myself immersed in the kiss. I am still amazed at her hair. It is so soft, so are her lips. Softer than butter.

I don't snap back into reality until her phone vibrates itself off the coffee table. I jump and Amy sighs. She picks up the phone and answers it.

"What?" She asks.

"No."

"I'm busy."

"I don't want to."

"Only if you pay."

"Eighty."

"I'll be there in twenty minutes." She says and hangs up.

"Your place is ten minutes way." I say.

"Exactly." She says and kisses me again. I smile, she really is strange.
