The quietness on the way back from London if fuelled by our mutual slight hangover and tiredness. We get a drive through breakfast and quietly enjoy each other's company.
"Harry?" Amy asks as we get close to my place.
"Yes baby?" I ask and quickly look at her.
"Why did you go out with Zoe?" Amy asks.
"My friend Alex set us up. He was worried that I would die alone." I say and chuckle.
"I can't see you dying alone, you're too popular." She says. I roll my eyes and chuckle.
When we get to my place Amy puts on one of my tops and sleeps in my bed as she is still feeling rough. I have a shower and lay in bed with her and play on my phone.
She wakes up again at noon with a sleepy smile. I smile at her and she sits up.
"Harry?" She asks.
"Yeah?" I ask as I put my phone away.
"I never want to leave this bed or this house. It's perfect here." She says as she spreads out. I chuckle and lean over to my bedside drawer.
"Here, it's a spare key." I say. "You're welcome to sneak in anytime." I say and wink. She laughs and kisses me. She attaches it to her keys and we go downstairs. We chill outside drinking coffee and listening to quiet music.
"I love this." Amy says as she looks out in front of her.
"So do I." I say and we smile at each other.
"So are you sure there was no other reason you went out with Zoe?" She asks.
"Yep, she was extremely annoying. Why are you so interested?" I ask.
"They day we met was the same day you broke up, I'm scared that I am a rebound." She says quietly. I chuckle and move closer to kiss her.
"You aren't a rebound." I say. "There was nothing to rebound from. She meant nothing to me." I say. She nods and looks down. "Why are you thinking like this?" I ask.
"Dani suggested it." She says. I frown.
"I don't want to ruin anything between you but she is talking shit." I say. She smiles a little.
"I know." She says and kisses me. I kiss back and after getting dressed we go back to hers. I kiss her goodbye and go back to mine.
That night I feel a dip in my bed and some sniffling. I open my eyes. And look to my left.
"Amy?" I ask.
"Harry?" She asks, her voice on the verge of tears. I sit up and turn on my bedside table lamp.
"What's wrong my panda?" I ask as I see Amy with mascara running down her face. She chuckles and hugs me.
"I didn't want to wake you." She says.
"No baby it's ok. What happened?" I ask.
"Dani kicked me out of the band." She says. "I was so angry I got in a fight with my mum, I had nowhere else to go." She says.
"It's ok." I say and rub her back. "You can stay here for as long as you want." I say. She smiles and nods. "Go have a shower that makes me feel better." I say. She nods and grabs a few things and disappears into my bathroom.
I get my room a bit cleaner and I get a glass of water. Amy comes out in one of my tops and wet hair. She sips the water and sits on my bed as I sit on my desk chair.
"Are you feeling better?" I ask.
"Yeah, thanks." She says and sighs.
"Do you know why you were kicked out?" I ask.
"No idea, that's why I was so annoyed. She had no valid reason." She says. "She knows how much I love that band." She says.
"Well in my opinion you'd be a great soloist." I say. She chuckles.
"With only a bass? I think not." She says.
"Well, maybe by now your fingers have been skilled enough to learn guitar." I suggest.
"Even if that is the case I couldn't do that alone. I'd freeze." She says. I sit with her and we cuddle.
"Let's just sleep for now ok?" I ask. She nods and we drift off.
