After dinner Emma invites me over every Friday as she now knows my parents don't live with me. I easily agree because Amy wants me to and I love food, so I am winning.
"Harry?" Amy asks one Friday after dinner.
"Yeah?" I ask as I step out of her house and turn around.
"I have a gig tomorrow night. It's in London so if you don't mind, can you come?" She asks and rubs the back of her neck.
"Sure." I say as I slip my hand around the back of her waist and kiss her. She smiles and kisses me back.
"Thank you." She says. I kiss her again and declare I have to go for the fifth time. After another kiss I go home.
Amy and I have breakfast the next morning then go to the park, it is still relatively early so it is empty. Amy and I sit on the swings and just sway together.
"Amy?" I ask.
"Yeah?" She asks and looks at me.
"Why do you hate your place?" I ask. She sighs and looks away, playing with the sand under her feet.
"My mum got it through the divorce. My dad wanted our house as it was bigger and his mistress was pregnant with their third secret child which turned out to be twins." She says.
"Wow." I say. "Amy, I am sorry."
"It's not your fault." She says and smiles at me. "So, why are your parents going around the world without you?" She asks.
"Well, they aren't technically my parents." I say and Amy looks up at me with heightened curiosity.
"How so?" She asks.
"My mother was a drug addict. She died when I was seven from a drug overdose and my grandparents took me in. Since they had to stop their plans for me the second I became independent and had good grades they carried on with their lives. They sure are rich enough." I say and shrug.
"What about your dad?" She asks.
"No idea." I shrug. Amy holds my hand and I kiss it. She blushes and I stand up. "My place? Movie?" I ask.
"Mr Harry Rivers, I think you are trying to make me fall for you." Amy says as she stands up. I cup her jaw and kiss her insanely perfect lips.
"You caught me." I say. She laughs and we chill at my place until we start the drive to London.
We get there early so we chill in the bar for a bit. Amy has some red alcohol drink and I have water.
"You can drink if you want." Amy says.
"I'm driving." I say as if it is obvious, because it is.
"Gabby and Dani are staying in a hotel, we have time maybe we can get a room. I do want you to enjoy yourself." Amy says.
"I'm with you, I'm obviously going to enjoy myself." I say. She raises her eyebrows and I laugh. "If it will make you happy." I say. She smiles and we go the few metres down the road where a hotel sits. I book a room while Amy greets her bandmates. I pay in advance as I know Amy would not like arguing in the morning.
We head back to the bar and I start drinking while Amy heads backstage. They start preforming and soon everyone is dancing.
Once tipsy I go back to non-alcoholic drinks. Amy slyly winks at me from the stage and I wink back. She smiles and carries on doing the backup vocals.
"Good band eh?" A man says from behind my right shoulder.
"Yeah, amazing." I say and finish my drink.
"Great bass player, someone should sign them." The man says as he puts his pint down.
"I agree. But I don't think the bass player would want to be signed." I say. "She doesn't like big crowds." I say as I order another drink.
"That is a shame. I don't know much about them." He says.
"Well I suggest you start learning, it's worth it." I say. He hums and walks away.
"Thank you!" Dani says as they finish. I look over and I don't see Amy. I check the time, they still have time for one song, Amy's song.
I go backstage and see Dani.
"Where's Amy?" I ask. Dani sighs.
"She ran off stage. I think she went to the dressing room." Dani says. I nod and find the green room/dressing room thing. I walk in and see Amy's feet in the open bathroom door faced down. I see the edge of her dress and then the sound of retching. I run over and hold her hair back.
"Don't touch me." She growls. I lay her hair on her back and lean on the sink.
"Are you ok? What happened?" I ask as she finishes and wipes her face. I move and she washes her face and starts to chew gum.
"Why the fuck were you talking to him?" She spits.
"Who?" I ask.
"My fucking dad you dick!" She shouts.
"That was your dad?" I ask, I should have noticed but I didn't look at his face. "Amy I am so sorry. I didn't know." I say. She sighs and leans in the sink.
"It's ok, I just hate the bastard." She says. I hug her and she rests her head on my chest.
"If it helps he gave me bad vibes." I say. She laughs a little and we head out. After drinking backstage for half an hour Amy and I go back to the hotel. We get in the bed and drunkenly laugh.
"We did not plan this well." Amy says. I look at her.
"How do you mean?" I ask.
"We have no clothes for tomorrow morning." She says.
"True." I say. "You are not as drunk as you seem." I say and laugh.
"I'm used to being drunk around you." She says. "You intoxicate me." She says and kisses me. I kiss back.
"How drunk are you?" I ask.
"Drunk enough to relax. Sober enough to know you are hot." She says and kisses me again.
"Take that as too drunk to do anything other than make out." I say. She pouts.
"Don't give me that look." I say. She pouts and gives me her sad eyes. I kiss her and we make out until we are too tired. She slowly falls asleep on me and I fall asleep with my fingers in her hair.
