"What exactly are we doing?"
I asked as Liam drew a door on the wall of the attic. Louis scratched his head with the gun in his hand before motioning towards the chalk door.
"We're making a portal to hell, obviously."
I glared at him as he looked back at me, batting his eyelashes in innocence. I rolled my eyes, looking at Niall who sat on the floor, drawing a pentagram in front of the door.
"You better hope this shit washes off my floor." I grumbled, making Liam snort.
"Shut up, dickhead. We're helping you, aren't we?" He raised his eyebrows at me before glancing back at Zayn. "Read, will you?"
Zayn looked closely at the book in his hands. Yeah, I forgot to metion...he sorta stole the devil's book.
"We need someone's blood to put on the pentagram. It's supposed to weaken whoever enters." He shut the book with a small frown. "Who wants their hand cut?"
I balled my left hand into a fist, biting the inside of my cheek. Be a man, Harold.
I held my hand out. "Just do it."
"But-" Niall was quick to argue but I shot him a glare.
"Just do it, will you?!" I almost shouted at Zayn.
He took my hand in his before slowly dragging the small blade of his knife down my palm. My eyes shut briefly from the pain.
I balled my hand back up, squeezing the blood out of it so it dripped onto the floor.
"Daddy?"
I spun around with wide eyes to see Darcy standing in the doorway with a stuffed elephant. She walked forward, looking at my bleeding hand with wide eyes.
"Baby, I told you to stay in your room. Go back downstairs." I demanded as I shoved my hand towards Niall so he could heal it.
"Daddy, what are you doing? Where's mummy?" My curious little girl walked up to the door, placing her hand on it.
"Darcy, get away from that!" Liam yelled but before she could retract, she fell right through the portal.
"Shit!" I screamed before diving in after her.
I landed on my bum on the hard ground with a loud thud. Darcy sat next to me, giggling at the black moths that swarmed around us.
The wind blew through my hair as I slowly stood to my feet. I squinted my eyes as I took in the sight of the giant castle in front of us. It had to be Luci's.
"Well, that was one way to do it." Zayn muttered as he helped Louis through the portal.
Liam and Niall hopped down after them, their shoes making a hard impact on the dirt ground.
It looked like the desert, there was no grass. The ground was a dark sandy dirt patch that stretched for miles. The sky was all black. There was no color at all.
I picked Darcy up, holding her on my hip and protectivly wrapping my arms around her. She laid her head against my chest, yawning.
I looked back at Zayn whose jaw clenched as he stared at the castle. He held the book at his side.
"You ok, man?"
He glanced at me before quickly nodding. I knew how hard it was for him to see this place.
