It was Saturday. No Mom yelling at us to get up, no scrambling around to get ready, just relaxation. And some studying for the test on Monday. I got up, and almost passed out as I went by the window. Corey Feldman and Haim were outside our window, which on the second story. "Oh my God! Harmony, Harmony, get up!"
Harmony entered the bedroom from the bathroom. Her eyes got wide when she saw the two Coreys. "Oh my God!" She ran over and helped me help the Coreys inside. When the adrenaline was gone, I realized this had been the one day I had slept in my sports bra and underwear only. My face got red, and I ran to my bed, pulling the covers over my body. Feldman waited on Harmony's bed while she went to take a shower and get changed. Corey Haim walked towards me, his cute smiling lighting his face. "Nice bra you got there." He sat next to me on my bed.
I felt my face redden even more.
"I wouldn't mind seeing it more. . . ." He looked into my eyes, then took his hand and gently pulled the cover off my shoulder.
Realizing what he was doing, I pulled the cover back up. "Not so fast, mister. Just what were you two doing hanging off our window sill? And how did you even get on it?"
"Oh, ha ha." He rubbed the back of his neck. "We had a latter. At first, we were just gonna throw rocks at you window, but we decided we were gonna tap on it instead. Well, the ladder fell and now we're here."
"Ana! Harmony!" My brother came up the stairs.
"Shit!" Feldman whispered.
"Hide!" I whispered to the boys. Feldman hid underneath Harmony's bed, and Corey. . .
"What are you doing?!" I whispered to Corey, who was going underneath the covers with me.
"Hiding! What does it look like?!"
Adam's footsteps stopped. He was about to open the door.
"You're lucky!" I pretended to be asleep.
"Ana?"
"What?" I pretended like I just woke up, yawning.
"Did you take the latter out yesterday?"
"Ah, yeah. Why?"
"Dad was wondering. Just put it back. Okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, we will."
"Oh and remember, you guys are in charge of the house when we're gone, okay?" Oh yeah. Adam, Mom and Dad were going downstate for Mom's foot. Harmony and I didn't want to go, which is why we were in charge of the house.
"Got it."
Adam stepped out and closed the door. Corey was spooning me underneath the covers. I lifted them up and saw one of his arms around my waist. Then I saw how fat I looked. "How can you cuddle someone who's so fat?" I whispered. I was usually comfortable with my body, but I still had days where I felt like the fattest person ever.
"Babe, you're not fat. You're perfect." He kissed the back of my head. "Just the way you are."
He made me feel better. There was something about him that was easy to trust. Maybe I was beautiful, just the way I was. "Thanks, babe."
"Get a room!" Feldman teased.
"Well, whatta ya know? A room!" Corey shouted to Feldman. Feldman chuckled, then went to find another bathroom. I turned so I was facing Corey, and put my top leg over his hip.
"This is comfy." I smiled.
Corey smiled, a rebellious glint in his eyes. "We're alone again."
I smiled back. "They gotta stop leaving us alone. We get into. . . trouble."
Corey kissed me for a long moment, then got up.
"Babe, what are you-" I was stopped in the middle of my question when he lifted the covers off of me and made room for himself. He kissed me while lowering his body onto mine. My legs made room for his body. He pulled the covers over us. Breaking the kiss for a brief moment, he asked, "How does it feel to be bad?"
"So, so good."
