We all splashed, pushed, and threw each other until the sun started to set. When the two Corey's realized this, they scooped Harmony and I up and ran to the secret spot. They ran with us as far as they could. When we got to our spot, they told us to wait on the couch.
"I don't get it. Why can't we know what's going on?" I asked Harmony, who was sentenced to the couch as well.
"I don't know, man. But here they come."
They were both smiling. "Okay, close your eyes!"
"Okay...." I exchanged one last look with Harmony before a hand slid over my eyes.
"Now stand up...."
I felt and smelled Corey's warm breath on my neck. He had been smoking. I slowly got up. I felt Corey's other hand go to my waist to lead me in the right direction. We walked out of the cave, and towards an even more secluded part of the beach.
"Okay, now open!" Corey pulled his hands away so he could do jazz hands.
I put my hands on my mouth for a moment, then pulled them away. "Aww! Guys, this is beautiful!"
There was a blanket spread out on the ground with food. It was in a perfect place to watch the sunset. Corey turned his face towards mine. "So, you like it?"
The stench of the cigarette was really strong. It made my eyes water and my nostrils burn. He looked concerned.
"You okay?"
"Yeah... yeah. It's okay. I just... love it so much!" I really did love it, but the cigarette was choking me.
"That's good. But what's wrong?" He smiled.
I rubbed my arm and looked away. "It's just..." I sighed, "the cigarette smell is killing me. You smoked before you came back and got us, didn't you?"
His smiled dropped. "Yeah."
"It's fine, babe, it's fine. I'll live with it." I put my arms around his shoulders, but he soon pushed me away.
"I don't want your nose to scream every time I come around!"
He managed to make me chuckle. "It's fine, really." I tried to put my arms around his neck again, this time succeeding. "As long as we can still kiss." I leaned in when he did. The smell was still lingering and strong, but I had gotten used to it. His lips were soft and welcoming. I could almost taste the cigarette, but I wasn't going to let it ruin this moment. My body rose up like a wave, softly crashing into Corey. His hands slid up to my waist.
"Ooh!" Harmony commented, stopping us. "Corey and Anastasia, gettin' it on!" She smiled at me.
I blushed and rolled my eyes. I saw Feldman turn and smile at her. "Is it our turn?" He pulled her close. She smiled, and they kissed, long and good. When they pulled away, they were smiling. We all sat down on the blanket and ate, watching the sun set.
