Luca's Challenge

Chapter 3. Fights.

On the bus to basketball we have both boys and girls teams go to the venue on the same bus, I sit in the back with the boys while the girls sat at the front.

"Yo what up Alexa!" One of the boys yell out.

"Hey Andrew."

"Got another joke for me?" He asks. We have this thing with jokes, I don't even know what to call it but we just kinda say shitty jokes to each other, well I say shitty jokes and he has like really bad pick up lines.

"Ugh, I had a dream last night that I was a muffler......... I woke up exhausted." I say trying not to laugh at how bad it was, only people who ride bikes will understand.

He just looked at me confused, of course he wouldn't understand he doesn't ride bikes, not my type.

Following him are most of the 'popular kids' including Jason and Justin.

I sit in the very back seat in the middle and the boys sit next to me with about another 6 of them sitting in front of us.

Looking forward I see the blonde hair first, and then his face. Are you serious!

He eventually turns his head to me and smirks.

"Hey Lex, got another one for you. Do you have a name? or can I call you mine?" He says. Is he going to stop with that name?

I sigh knowing he's going to come on this bus every single time I play. I don't even bother to reply as I just turn my head to talk to some of the guys.

"Rejected!" Andrew yelled out from the seat in front of me.

"Shut up Andrew, I reject you all the time." I laugh as well as all the guys do, looking at Andrew more clearly I see he has a sprinkle of freckles across his nose and cheeks with light brown hair and hazel eyes, he really is attractive but he's only my friend.

"Yeah, I know." he mumbles. He may have a tiny crush on me but whatever, he'll get over it.

I see Luca looking at the empty spot beside me. Hell no. No way he is sitting there, if I place my bag there then he'll just move it so I do the only thing I can think of, I grab Andrew's arm and pull (more like throw) his body next to me.

He just has the most confused face.

"Damn if you wanted me so bad you could've just said so." he says as he stretches his arms and yawns while placing one arm over my shoulders.

"Okay, no way is that going to work on me." I say as I pull his arm off my neck.

Luca doesn't look too happy, he seems to be burning holes into Andrew's head and resisting smashing his head against the window. Luca walks up to where Andrew was sitting and sits in his spot.

"We all know you want me Lex, just stop playing hard to get." Luca says while raking his hands through his hand. I just scoff, is he serious? Playing hard to get?

I hear all the boys around us scoff and laugh at the same time.

"I'm sorry buddy but this chick just won't have it, she has friend zoned each and every single one of us." Jason says as he pats Luca's shoulder. Thinking of that I smile, well at least they know.

"Yeah dude just give up." Another guy yells.

Hearing all this makes me laugh, the boys do really know me. We get along great and they know their boundaries.
