Luca's Challenge

Chapter 7. On the run

Upon seeing those lovely lights flashing red and blue, a wave of adrenaline rushed through me. 

Now riding the opposite way, a feeling of nausea took over.

I was worried.

If I get caught now there will be even more heftier fines applied on the both of us.

I stared to slow down thinking for a second.

"Lex! What are you doing now? You can't turn around and stop now! Go! Go!"

Luca's voice kickstarted my brain again ready.

And with that we speed up, the feeling of Luca being so close to me and holding on to me for dear life felt weird but pleasant at the same time.

Taking a sharp left I felt my back tyre screech on the pavement which now turned into dirt.

Now the police car was driving along side us on the opposite side of the trees flickering in and out of view.

Eventually finding the track that we needed, it will take us around the forest to a safe place we can stay for a bit until the cops clear.

Turning around to see where they were, I see that there would be no way a car could enter into a forest like this.

But what almost makes me choke and laugh so hard at the same time is Luca sticking his finger out to the cops car, flipping them off.

I just couldn't help but laugh.

I laughed so hard I was literally crying.

Not only because of what Luca did, but because of what I did.

I actually ran away from the police!

I, Alexa Clove just escaped the cops! I'm officially a badass.

What does Luca think of me now?

After finding a safe place to stop I jump off the bike and lay on the ground, letting out a long breath and laugh at the same time.

Luca does the same.

"I can't believe I just did that." I said laughing.

"Me neither." he replied laughing.

"I literally just escaped the police!" I scream.

Causing a chuckle to escape Luca. What does he think of me now? That I full badass?

Turning to him with a serious face.

"now do you take back what you said about me and my gender you sexist asshole?" I say while turning over to him with my arms crossed over my chest.

He looked at me with and exaggerated look.

"well Jesus that came out of nowhere." He says while rubbing his palm in his face.

he laughed but I didn't join, only looked at him with a glare that made him shut up.

"Okay, okay I take back what I said. Woman are clearly capable of riding bikes and doubling males."

"And I'm a better rider than you." I say trying not to laugh.

"And that Lex is a better rider than I am." he says this with a smirk on his face "but we all knew that." he says right after. Immediately knowing what he just referred to I slap the actual shit outta him.

"Shut up and say that you will not contradict my actions or say such sexiest things."

He repeated my sentence with a lame voice.

I feel so good right now! I just proved him wrong and I loved it.

Looking at my watch on my wrist the time read 7:06pm, we were probably gone for a good hour.

So we decided to hop back on the bike and continue home, lucky we are in the middle of summer and the sun doesn't go down until 8.

Going around the long way to avoid any roads, I finally get back to my street but from another trail in the forest.

Quickly peeking out from the forest I wait for some cars to go by before I make a run or should I say ride for it?

This causing Luca to hold onto me very tight, it took about five seconds before I was in my driveway.

Quickly I ran into the garage putting my bike in before anyone could see, and shutting the door

"Jesus you ride like a mad woman."

"Well that's the way I like it."

"Where the hell have you been!?"

Whipping our heads around we see Chase.

Letting out a long breath, lucky it wasn't my dad.

"We were just riding around."

"We got caug-"

Both Luca and I said at the same time, but before he could finish his sentence I slammed my hand in his mouth keeping it there while looking at Chase.

"We were just riding around till we got lost, but we are back now."

My hand still on Luca's mouth I felt his tongue lick my hand. When I felt that I turned around and slapped him hard on the left cheek.

"What the fu-"

"That was for doubting me from the very start and being a sexist asshole and also licking me with your tongue."

From behind us I hear Chase laughing his head off, when I turned my head around he was laughing so hard that he was crying

Turning around to look at Luca, I see a pissed off face looking at me with a nice red mark on half his face.

"What? Is that the first time you have ever been bitch slapped?"I say innocently.

With that Chase's laughter grew harder and I was so close to laughing myself but I kept a cool face.

"Umm yeah you can say that's the first time a girl has hit me." He says while dumbing his face.

I just couldn't keep it in anymore, I laughed along with Chase until I was crying too.

When we both stopped our laughter, Luca looked pissed off but you could see the smirk forming on his lips, him suppressing his laughter.

"Chase have we had dinner?" I asked.

"No we haven't, we are probably having it now. I've been trying to cover for you, if you came a little bit later I don't know what I would of said. I just said that we were going off for a walk and we would be back soon, so let's go upstairs."

Walking up the stairs I see four adult heads sitting at the table all turned around looking at us.

"So where were yous?"
