"It was a misty morning. Everything was so old- like vintage pictures. And, surprisingly, Sandra was dressed up in a black and white gown, her head adorned with a bonnet, decorated with lace and pearls. Sandra didn't know where she was. With a shock, she realized her parents weren't there.
Suddenly, there was an old man who walked up to Sandra, gave her a heavy bag and said just one word, "Go".
The bag was of leather and had a symbol of 2 locked hands with golden leaves around them.
When she looked into the bag, her hands started shaking.
The bag contained a crown. A beautiful crown with precious gems and gold leaves.
By the time she looked up to see who the man was, he was gone.
When she turned around, she a huge army of soldiers barging towards her, led by a man who's eyes were dark and evil. He had a crooked mouth and a pointy beard. He had a very menacing look and his expression was as crooked as his mouth.
Some instinct in Sandra told, "RUN".
Sandra started to run with all her might through the empty streets and suddenly tripped on a huge rock and fell. She turned back, scared to death and saw the army nearing her. They were coming closer, and closer and closer......"
Sandra woke up with a shock, beads of sweat dripping down her forehead. She held her head for a minute and massaged it. "A terrible and stupid dream, after all."
She brushed her teeth and went to the kitchen, Good morning mum. Milk, please."
"Here you go dear princess!", her mother said mockingly, giving her two glasses of milk.
"Two glasses?"
"Oh! One for grandma. I thought if you give it to her, she'll perhaps forgive you."
"She has forgiven me, mom", Sandra replied, but nevertheless took the glass of milk to grandma's bedroom.
She knocked the door but there was no answer. She called out, "Grandma?"
But there was no reply.
She decided to go in. When she went in, she saw that grandma was still asleep on her armchair, snoring away softly. Sandra smiled and kept the glass on the small table beside. As she walked towards the door, she felt something stick to her pajamas. When she turned to look, she saw a fine golden thread. It had something big at the end of it, which had gone behind the cupboard. She went to see what it was and as she bent to see, she saw it.
Shesaw the same leather bag with the symbol of locked hands with golden leavesaround them.
For some minutes, Sandra couldn't move. She couldn't believe her eyes. First, she thought she was imagining the bag.
"Ouch!", she yelped with pain, when she pinched herself to know whether whatever she saw was true.
"Should I tell mom? Or not, I guess, will be better. The lesser she knows, the better."
Quietly she walked out of grandma's room and told her mother that she had given grandma milk. She then went to her room and sat down.
"How could this be possible?", she thought quietly.
In that dream, she had seen herself with the bag. But, where did grandma come from? Was she with the bad guys? Did she take it from Sandra? But-but- EVERYTHING WAS JUST SO RIDICULOUS!
"Let's just forget everything. It was just a coincidence, that's all. Nothing else.", she thought to herself and was about to go out.
But, this dream wasn't going to leave her this soon!
As she walked out of the door-
"SANDRA!", a voice screamed. The voice belonged to a short girl with two short braids, freckles and braced teeth.
"Jennifer! Hey! How come you are here?", Sandra said, hugging her.
"um, just thought will give you a visit. So, here I am!"
"Awesome! I thought I would forget this incident but the person I could really talk to right now is you! Everything's being so, so weird and bizarre. My head literally is not working!"
" You talk like today's doom's day! Relax, come sit here", Jennifer said, escorting Sandra to the bed.
"Wait till you hear me. You won't believe your ears!"
"Spill the beans, miss."
"First, I saw this extremely weird dream. There is a guy who gives me a bag and vanishes into thin air! And then I am chased by soldiers led by a creep AND last but not least, when I wake up and go to give grandma milk, I find the same bag in my grandmother's room! Tell me, do you think it's a coincidence or something bad?", Sandra asked with a worried face.
"Ohhhhh......"
"Say something?"
"Umm... what should I say", Jennifer said, wrinkling her nose, deeply thinking, "THIS IS SO COOL!
Sandra rolled her eyes with exasperation. This was the last reply she could expect from Jennifer.
"What? I'm serious! I mean, dreams coming true, imagine!"
"As a matter of fact, they are, but in my situation, it is NOT!", Sandra said, shaking her head from right to left in objection.
"OK, now just relax. Let's go down."
"Sandra! Jennifer! Breakfast!", Sandra's mother called from the kitchen.
As they went down the stairs, Jennifer screamed, "PANCAKES WITH MAPLE! Thank you, Mrs. Johnson! you're the sweetest!"
"Oh! Not at all dear!", replied Sandra's mother with a smile.
"Well", Jennifer looked at Sandra, with a forkin her hand and a hungry look in her eyes, "time to dig in!"
